Guest guest
Hi Pam: Have you spoken with your doctor about the severe and continuing pain you are experiencing? I know that Prednisone is one of those drugs we both love and hate, but it is very good in reducing inflammation, and, thus, pain as well. I think it might be something to bring up that might help aleviate some of your pain while you doctor continues to do work-up on you. Also, if the pain does decrease on Prednisone, that might tell him something of importance for diagnosis. Just something to think about. There should be something he can give you so that you do not suffer so much, and be more able to do your job, while dx is being worked on. I think that the idea of your working for a private doctor was a good one. The work would not be as difficult as it is in the hospital, and you could get medical coverage. When I worked for an orthopedist, as a transcriber, many years ago, I got full medical coverage.
