Guest guest
can't you try to sue for wrongful termination? --- clabertew wrote: <Thanks for responding. We are in workers comp issue and they have denied benefits because the asthma is caused by house dust. Thats what the workers comp doctor said. What a joke. thanks again Cleo & > --------------------------------------- Quality questions create a quality life. Successful people ask better questions, and as a result, they get better answers. Guest guest
Wow - how can they terminate her because of an illness? You might try to find an attorney who will work on contingency, I think they are all over Florida from what I've seen. You need a 2nd opinion in regard to the cause of the asthma. My doctors were not willing to say mine was caused by the building. After all of the tests, etc. they said the cause was "environmental". And I guess that's true, because after I changed my environment, my symptoms improved. Where are you in Florida? I think my symptoms have improved since moving from Atlanta - Atlanta is #6 for the worst cities for breathing...Tampa is #100clabertew wrote: Thanks for responding. Guest guest
Well, symptoms do improve after leaving the area of exposure, since you are no longer breathing the offending toxic material. That is in all of the lieterature I've read. There's a ton of information in medical Journals. Two of the best are "CHEST" and "THORAX" both contain recent articles on occupational asthma or irritant induced asthma. We have a workers comp attorney but it's hard to find an attorney to do a third party claim. The state has put a bunch of restrictions on exposure cases. So it's hard to find one that will fight the current political agenda. We're working on finding another doctor for actually a third opinion.
