Guest guest
Oh dear. I thought it was in poor taste too and was glad the moderator replied. I’d say the sarcastic jokester’s attempt at a joke failed miserably. sonia From: asthma [mailto:asthma ] On Behalf Of Elliot Yudenfriend Sent: Tuesday, November 28, 2006 7:50 PM To: asthma Subject: Re: Re: Moderator/difference between groups? Guest guest
I'm not a moderator. Just adding my two cents. Laughter is welcome here as far as I can see, but your attempt was in poor taste I think. BarbHey, Molly Moderator---that was a joke, and a funny one. Guest guest
There really isn't much difference. It's up to if she closes the other group since she owns it. We may not need both groups but it's ok if Asthma2 stays online, it just won't be as active, I guess. wrote: Yes, I understand that. Thanks. Just to clear things up, This group, asthma, was with out a moderator or owner for many years. Last week I was able to get Yahoo to give me moderator status. I then made several other moderators. Then one of them made a 4th moderator. The reason I did this is to clean up this group. I made other moderators and told them to make more is so this group will never be orphaned again. Guest guest
Hey, that's enough. Elliot, jokes are allowed, but this kind of stuff is not. Ok, , if you don't want to be getting emails from the group, go to the group website and then to your member area. You need to go no emails or daily digest or even unsubscribe if you don't want to be in the group. Take care, , ModeratorElliot Yudenfriend wrote: Hey, Molly Moderator---that was a joke, and a funny one. Don't you know that a good, hearty laugh is great for asthma? Silly person. "Ugh. Guest guest
well i hate to keep on about this subject since we are an asthma group but there are lots of groups of the same type everywhere but most of them will not allow other owners to come in to their group and try to take over or help them there is no problem with this but the one thing this group needs to worry about is that soon there will be to many chiefs and not enough indians Bill and Canter wrote: There really isn't much difference. Guest guest
I don't think that'll be a big problem. This group had been orphaned so the thing about someone taking over isn't an issue. Matt got yahoo to let him take over so we could get some order restored and shut off the spam. I think he'll agree that right now there are enough moderators unless we have a huge growth spurt all of a sudden. So, there are plenty of "indians." mary scott wrote: well i hate to keep on about this subject since we are an asthma group but there are lots of groups of the same type everywhere but most of them will not allow other owners to come in to their group and try to take over or help them there is no problem with this but the one thing this group needs to worry about is that soon there will be to many chiefs and not enough indians Bill and Canter <cindyj4652> wrote: There really isn't much difference. Guest guest
Yep, there is history. We've done ok to settle things down though. I've been plenty busy with school, so sorry I haven't been in for a few days. I did get news from my doctor that the prednisone I was on has really messed up my diabetes, so now I'm working to get that back under control. I'll keep everyone updated. wrote: This is different – these used to be one group – there’s some history here. I read the archives lol!
