Guest guest Posted December 28, 2005 Report Share Posted December 28, 2005 Hey everyone. I'm new here. I'm 38 and have been diagnosed with RA for several years now. I'm currently on Sulfasalazine and Prednisone and just found out that I'm pregnant (first child). Both drugs are okay until close to birth (sulfas. is bad for breastfeeding). I was taking Plaquanil until I got off the pill in Sept. I have recently had the worst flare since summer of '04, but it's gone now and I'm SO relieved because there is not much that I can take while pregnant. I'm always looking for " the cure " and am very interested in natural healing, but know that RA is a little different and maybe not so conducive to this. I have recently read Trudeau's book Natural Cures " They " Don't Want You To Know About and am suspicious of everything now! I wouldn't call myself a radical by any means, but books like that really get you thinking. Anyway, that's all.
