about myself

Hi

I a joined the group several weeks ago. My name is .I find it so

helpfull to read all your letters an know i am not alone.

My family is good to me, but don't really understand.

I have been dx with ra for about five years, I also have OA and RA

lung.

My first rhumy that is saw for four years I think now did me more harm

than good. Because basically he did nothing and now as a result i have

RA lung. I have to be carefull of what anti-inflamitories I take

because I have kidney problems. I used to take vioxx for the OA, and

went into renal failure from it, so now my kidneys don't work at full

speed, just last week the internest told me it's back to the kidney

dr, because my kidney function dropped again.

Well anyway, I started to see a new rhumy whom I have to pay for

myself. But from what i read in your posts, and what she says to me I

think she is a much better doc,she is concerned about pain, and faxes

my internest about what she sees, and my other medical problems.

Also she has Ra herself. So now I take, Humeria, Mobic, Ulracet for

pain, and and lexapro for depresssion. I am in a small flare right now

and have trouble with swelling and tingling in my hands, this is the

firsr time my hands have really bothered me like this, sort of scarey,

especially since I walk with a cane, usually my knee, ankles, feet.

back neck and shoulders are what bothers me. This summer i was in the

hospital with RA lung and pheaunonia. Then spent the rest of the

summer on home oxygen. I am 49 years old,but my body feels so much

older. I am waitihg for SS disabililty, but thats another whole long

story. Because I can't work anymore and money issues (have none)

I am at this time living with my sister and her family.

Wisconsin has no help for people like me, because I have no childern

(just a cat) so I get by on foodstamps, a medical grant for the

hospital and clinic I go to, drug asstiance programs , and other state

programs I have found, and a litle help from my parents.

So now my kitty and I live my sister and her family, and her three

little dogs. So sorry for writing a book like this, but just wanted to

tell a little about myself. I enjoy reading all your letters and

putting my two cents worth in,
