Guest guest
Advair is NOT a fast acting inhaler like albuterol is. So you can't take the advair when you have an attack, though I think the salmeterol kicks in like 30 min or an hour later?? I can look it up and find out. anyone?? Guest guest
ADVAIR IS NOT A RESCUE MEDICATION. Sorry for the caps but I can't stress this enough. Advair has a black box waring because people have died trying to use Advair as a fast acting bronchodilator. Advair is a controller medication and should be taken everyday to prevent asthma attacks. If you have an attack you need to take the fast acting inhaler like albuterol. > > Hello, > > I've had Asthma since 1997. Guest guest
Why did my doctor say it would replace both and even add that a lot of people like Advair because it saves them from carrying both inhalers around?? I can't understand why he said that if it's not true; if I still need Albuterol! > > Advair is NOT a fast acting inhaler like albuterol is. > > So you can't take the advair when you have an attack, though I > think the salmeterol kicks in like 30 min or an hour later?? Guest guest
Well, I just made the switch to Advair. We'll see what it does. It tates a little different and cost a whole lot more than Flovent. > > > > Hello, > > > > I've had Asthma since 1997. Guest guest
Make sure you are rinsing your mouth out very well after every use of Advair. It can cause thrush if you don't (so I have been told). > > > > > > Hello, > > > > > > I've had Asthma since 1997. > > [deleted to save space] >

Guest guest
If inhaled asthma medications whitens the tongue and cause yeast infections can it also cause the throat and the tubes going to the lungs to whiten? > > > > > Make sure you are rinsing your mouth out very well after every > > > use of > > > Advair.
