Guest guest
, I don't know about the particular type of arthritis she has, but forms of arthritis are eligile for disability. A friend of mine received disability within the same month of filing - I believe hers is Rheumatoid, she's had several surgeries on her hands and feet and back. You can go to Social Security website www.ssa.gov and they will have a listing you can download. It's Adobe format and it's called SS Disability Listing of Impairments. I hope this helps her out. Guest guest
Hi Katheryn: Many people get it with the Fibro, it just depends on your lawyer and your judge. It is a hit or miss type thing it seems to me, but worth a try., Just know it will take some time to get a hearing.. Guest guest
If Fibro is severe enough she can try and get on disability. Tell her to give it a try. If she can't work then she has a good reason to try! Lynn --- van Rooyen wrote: > My daughter recently was diagnosed with Gouty > Arthritis and > Fibromyalgai, and she is only 24! Guest guest
, Both those conditions are reversable with some patience and persistence. Does she really want to do this? She's so young to start out her life on disability. Sharon > > My daughter recently was diagnosed with Gouty Arthritis and > Fibromyalgai, and she is only 24! She wants to be on disability. Guest guest
, I have Fibromyalgia and I am on SSDI. How Long has she been continually disabled? If it has been at least 6 months, she should look into filing a disability claim. Due to the fact that approx. 50% are denied the first time, and of those that reapply, 83% will dbe denied the second time. I wasn't approved until I appealed and was sent to arbitration with a disability judge that I was finally approved. Of course that took a good 18+ months, and I responded immediately. If she doesn't have a disability lawyer, she should retain one. They are regulated by law how much they can receive as payment and they know how to present your case. It will be worth it if this is something that she really needs to do. I had an assualt injury on the job when I was 34 yrs old and was out of work over 3 years before I was approved. Keep up the faith and good luck to her. My prayers are with you both. van Rooyen wrote: My daughter recently was diagnosed with Gouty Arthritis and Fibromyalgai, and she is only 24! Guest guest
I have fibromyalgia. Since when is it reversible!!!??? I was taught that if a man is drowning it is irrelevant what is his religion or nationality. One must help him. It is a matter of the heart. ~ Irena Sendler www.RevealedHeartMinistries.org Books and Stitches-- Cloth book covers http://www.booksandstitches.com
Guest guest
You said exactly what I was thinking when I read that! I also have Fibro and have never heard it's reversible either. Maybe this person was thinking of something else?? van Rooyen wrote: I have fibromyalgia. Since when is it reversible!!!???
Guest guest
Hi : I don't believe it is, may get a 2 year remission, but as far as I have ever heard, it always comes back. Thanks Jeanette Re: Re: disability question >I have fibromyalgia. Since when is it reversible!!!??? > >
Guest guest
It is actually possible to get better. Research is now showing that Fibro can be caused by lack of oxygen to the brain and once you re-establish the ability to breathe, you can get better. I'm seeing an awesome doctor - she does chiropractics, cranial-sacral, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, massage, medication, energy healing and more with me. I've been seeing her 2 times a week for a month and I'm already 20% better. I've had this for 4 years now and am on long term disability. I'm now convinced that I will get better and that it won't come back. So there is hope out there! Just keep trying! Guest guest
The executive-director of an international FM association says she cured her FM. But she says she did not start to get better until she stopped taking the drugs she was one; which makes sense. A lot of the problems with immune deficiency illnesses is the pollutants in the body. Until those are drastically lowered and no more toxins are being put into the body, it is only logical that the person is not going to get better. blessings Shan > > Hi : > I don't believe it is, may get a 2 year remission, but as far as I have ever > heard, it always comes back. > Thanks > Jeanette > > Re: Re: disability question > > > >I have fibromyalgia. Guest guest
That would explain why magnetic energy works as it increases oxygen to the cells. It doesn't permanently get rid of fibro but can completely take away pain. Taking antioxidants and drinking alkaline water along with that will make it even more effective. My friend who does cranio-sacral has had phenomenal results with FMS. She says that with cranio the practioner needs to keep working and not just stop after a half hour or an hour appointment as it won't be nearly as effective. She feels the fluid and knows when she is done for that session. Sometimes she works for up to 3 hours but for that she doesn't need to give nearly as many sessions. This explained to me why we didn't have any luck with it using a different practioner as the fluid will sometimes only start moving after half an hour!
