Guest guest
I'm very interested in the dialogue with the channeller, , (Steve's friend?) which appeared to blow channelling away. As I read Katey, only two things exist: an unexamined story, and our immediate physical environment. So channelling is no less real than anything else - none of it exists! --------------------------------- Get a bigger mailbox -- choose a size that fits your needs. Guest guest
Timitis, Our immediate physical environment is a story also..There is only story...That's what 's book title " Losing the Moon " is referring to... ps... To love what is, IS to love the story...The " reason " we find ourselves loving what is unconditionally is precisely because we recognize it is a story and no thing is truly gained/lost, threatened, made safe etc.... Nothing ever happens and yet this paradoxical " apparent " dance is always unfolding..That is the perspective of recognizing nothing exits except the story... " Something " can be VERY solid and still be a story...The story is that it has such and such a name..The story is that it is seperate from the thing that is next to it..The story is that it is seperate from " you " ...The story is that there is a perceiver and the perceived object rather than one phenomena, perception/perceiving - which is another way of saying - the always unfolding story.... Our nervous sytem doesn't just receive...It also transmits...Actually it perceives what it is transmitting (and transmits what it is perceiving)... Guest guest
Yes, and that I am currently calling myself a channeler, is the story I am currently not willing to give up. Guest guest
Dear : Thank you for posting this. It is a very clear, easily understood description of one who is awake. Best Regards, Steve D. > Here's a description of the " 5th (near final) level " of spiritual > consciousness, from somebody who ought to know, I guess, Bernadette > , who seems quite knowledgable about this. This was written > before ever took the stage, showing the eternal validity of > the basic points. > > I was struck by how aptly, simply, and concisely has > summarized that state of mind, as quoted below. > > But this is just posted for fun! Sure, sure, I know, I know - why > should five or any other number of states of consciousness exist or > not exist, and who cares anyway ?? Ha ha! Guest guest
Delia, Each time I read your posts, I am surprised at how much we have in common. I have Sleep Apnea and have been on a Res-med CPAP machine for about seven years. The CPAP is a hassle when you travel, but it is must a " must-have. " My " sleep " doctor prescribed Ambien and Requip (for RLS), but I can't tolerate Ambien. Ambien helped me sleep but it must have inter-acted with one of my other meds because I got severely depressed while taking it. I tried several different times to take it, but I always had the same results. I was crying uncontrollably almost every day. The Requip also makes me sleepy, so I am just using it now. I prefer to stay in a hotel because friends/family rarely understand our daily routines. The last time I spent the night at a friend's home in Dallas, she said, " Why don't you just leave that thing at home. Can't you just skip that when you travel? " I know she means well, but I had already explained the CPAP, but I might as well be talking to the wind. Most people are just not interested in the ordeals we go through to survive. I overheard her husband saying he didn't know it would be such a " big deal " for me to visit, with all my gear, and medicine, etc. It's a relief to have friends on this site who truly understand our lives. They've known me for over thirty years, and they were used to me being very active. Now they can't grasp why I get up feeling exhausted after a " good night's sleep. " They always have the day all planned out, and they are constantly on-the-go. I can't handle it now, so I just don't go visit them much anymore. Now when we go to Dallas, I insist on staying in a hotel room. I can stay there and rest, and meet them later in the day for dinner, or for church. If anyone had told me six years ago that I'd be coping with caring for my Mom and , I would have said that's impossible. Some days it is impossible for me, and like you, I can't even plan one day ahead. But the Lord gives me just enough strength to make it each day, somehow. My husband is a huge help with , and they are crazy about each other. He works for the Sheriff's Dept., and his days off are mid-week. stays home with my daughter on the weekends. During the week we have him in pre-school two days a week. He loves his school, and we would send him to pre-school five days a week if we could afford it. He's only four and they are teaching him Spanish and computers already! I very rarely go anywhere anymore except to the doctor, and to church when I can make it. My husband does almost all of the grocery shopping. I feel like I am in Disneyland when I finally make it out of the house to the Super Walmart store, ha, ha. I have a great time at the mall, but I get wiped out very quickly and have to get home. I have a Scooter to use for shopping, but even when I have that, I get very tired quickly, and my back pain sends me back home - YUK. I really appreciate your prayers for my family. My daughter is having a rough time of it. We are all praying for her, and for the baby to be healthy. She has had three miscarriages since she had . They have tried so hard to have one more child, and she is almost there now. She just has seven more weeks now till her delivery date. Her husband is a truck driver and only gets home about every six weeks, so she is basically, alone except for us. She has a lot of health problems, so Lord only knows how we will all manage with another baby. But the Lord always meets our needs, so I just try to take it all one day at a time. I am not familiar with Osteen, but I have seen his name before. I grew up in a Baptist home, and we now go to a wonderful Episcopalian Church. If I see Osteen on the TV schedule sometime, I will check it out. Delia, I am so sorry to hear that you have Dementia. I will probably have it too one day. It seems to run in my family. I just thank God that so far, Alzheimer's does not run in our family. Mom stays very confused every day, but she knows who we are, and she manages to do pretty well. We have always been very close and I am thankful to have this time to spend with her. Mother is a writer (not published) and she spends a lot of her time doing that. It really helps her mind stay active, and from what I have read in medical reports, it will help to delay the Dementia from getting worse. Blessings to you and your family, > > , > I know that your grandson is a delightful addition to your family and I am sure he keeps you going especially on days it would hardly seem worth it. > Talk about traveling to hear Osteen about 100 miles from our home, well, with all these pains it is difficult for me also. A year ago I could NOT have traveled that far. Just going to Walmart to get groceries was difficult. Through a lot of prayer, a helpful husband, and taking the supplements I take and the healthy coffee and tea I drink, God made it possible. We may not get to go to my daughter's house in Dothan, Al this year for Christmas to be with them and my son's daughter also due to having to travel 130 miles each way and staying in someone else's house. > I admire you for taking care of your grandson. I could not take on that kind of responsibility. I don't know from one day to the next if I can handle much and I've learned to do a little at a time. Something I've never done. I always did it all. Work, kids, house, car, parents, volunteered, you name it, I did it. God was so gracious to me to be able to experience so much for so long. Now I do what I can. > I want to start a Fibro Support Group. We tried a couple of meetings and it didn't work out, maybe it wasn't the right time. Please pray for us and we hope to be physically able to begin it again. A learning support group. I hope and pray your mother is doing better. I have mild dementia. They always said the ming is the first to go. Bless her heart. I pray God takes care of your daughter and sees her through this pregnancy and holds her up in taking care of him/her when he/she is born. > Hope you have a restful night. I wear a CPAP machine for sleep apnea and take Ambien but last night I was awake a good bit of the time. > Your fibro buddy in Alabama, > Delia >

Guest guest
Ashish I can understand your concern for the future of our society and the latest verdict in the lal murder case stands testimony to this... we know that justice is not being served and yet that there is nothing that we can do....I believe that this is a vicious cycle... we talk about 'empowerment of youth', but then what does most of the youth do? 90% of the young people do not participate in the nation building process or are politically aware as they should. I think that the attitude that is detrimental to this is the " chalta -hai'' attitude that we adopt... this should change... We can change the society and we can change the way the country functions.. but then every youth should try and start this change from himself. We should not support anything that would mean we do something illegal... be it " permissions " or bribing a corrupt officer. One of the important things that we as young people can do to change the society is to exercise the power of the vote... we should vote for candidates who are young, " less " corrupt, dynamic and most important, educated... and are willing to change the way things function... this need not mean westernization... but it may be something that could alter the bureaucracy or the corrupt social system and make the politicians accountable to the people who elect them... I know that it sounds very idealistic and very " preachy " but I think that as intellecutals and professionals, we should all get involved and try for a humble begining to what could be a " change " Ameet 1993
Guest guest
Tell your doctor. Maybe they can prescribe more meds. for asthma or something to keep you calmer. I understand the panic part all too well. There are times I can make my asthma a whole lot worse from panicking. I am sure they will be able to help you. You have my prayers too... Guest guest
Thank you so much! They have me taking Benedryl to help with the breathing. Not sure how this works, but it is helping. Thanks again for the prayers! Re: , I do not have a medical answer for you, but on a personal level - let me tell you that I will pray for you to have strength and peace. Guest guest
: I wanted to mention that I am sending prayers and positive thoughts for recovery and peace as you move through the process of radiation and move towards healing. I think the Benadryl may have the dual purpose of helping with any allergic reactions (when I had blood transfusions after a surgery, the doctor gave me Benadryl and Tylenol because I was rejecting it a little bit). It's also a great medicine to help you relax and sleep. Benadryl is sometimes given to older and younger people as a sleep aid. It is typically one of the main ingredients in drugs like " Tylenol PM " ... Stay positive and well. Guest guest
I think you can access the Physican's Drug Reference online. That should tell you all about the drug including the names it is sold under. Sue Does anyone know if Hycotuss and Tussionex are the same thing? I ask because I have taken Tussionex before and it makes me really drowsy, so I do not want to take the Hycotuss as I am leaving if it will do the same thing.
