Guest guest
Thank you! I thought I was the only one who saw his threats. That's what I was so angry about.. Seems like everyone else ignored that part.. Guest guest
I saw the threat as well and if it is followed through with it SHOULD be reported. It isn't our fault when someone can't figure out how to unsubscribe and it isn't our responsibility to explain how to do it. Guest guest
berry_kris ok we all get a lot of mail sometimes so whats a little more to me that is not a threat but for her to tell him that she will report him and get his accounts cancelled well to me that is a threat and again if some one could have given him answers that he need there would not have been any threat at allberry_kris wrote: Although I don't agree with Sue's wording and tactics, comeone, this guy is threatening the group with massive amounts of mail...because he can't figure out how to unsubscribe. Guest guest
ok well if you feel that it not our responsibity to help someone then dont respond to them at all in a negitive way but it only took me a minute to tell him how to fix the problem and i saw no harm in it so if you dont want to help someone then step aside and let the ones that do try to help them in a good and positive way someone said that they did not understand why people wanted to join then leave well i think that if they want to then they should be able to but if we all are alot nicer to them then maybe they will stay and have something positve to give to the group Family wrote: I saw the threat as well and if it is followed through with it SHOULD be reported. Guest guest
I saw the threat but still feel we can be NICE about it. Report it ok, but I disagree that we shouldn't tell him how to get unsubscribed. It is our responsibility to protect our group and if a link doesn't work we should give him alternative ways to do this. Guest guest
Let me clarify here...I don't not say we should not help. I said it wasn't our responsibility and it is not our fault if someone can't figure it out. I have no problem helping someone out, I'm actually a very nice person. But when it is accompanied by a threat I'm less inclined to be very helpful. What this person did was issue a threat. I get that he is frustrated. I have subscribed to lists and later regretted it and it's taken a while to get off but it's not the group members fault. If this person decides to follow through on the threat who knows what that could do to our email programs. I certainly would not be happy to have my inbox filled because of something that is not my fault and then not be able to recieve any other emails. If he does it I will report it. Sure it's our responsibility to protect the group...which includes reporting malicious behavior. Guest guest
Hi Rhonda, I get what you're saying and reporting him if he threatens the group is not a problem with me. I'll do it myself to keep him from destroying the group. I think several of us have told him what to do to unsubscribe or stop getting so much email from us so he should be able to figure it out by now. I hope things work out for him. But I stand by what I said about being nice and not abusive. Take care, Family wrote: Let me clarify here...I don't not say we should not help. Guest guest
FYI if you read again. I tried exactly as it states. click on unsuscribe link to be removed. it did not work. as for a threat, if this group can send emails that i no longer want, why cant i send emails to you that you will not want??? > >Reply-To: asthma >To: <asthma > >Subject: Re: Re: unsubscribe >Date: Thu, 19 Oct 2006 20:38:22 -0700 > >I saw the threat as well and if it is followed through with it SHOULD be >reported. Guest guest
Why can't you just hit your delete button? Your threat is malicious in nature and against the users policy of Yahoo and the terms you agreed to when you joined this group. I'm sorry you are having trouble leaving the group. Apparently there are plenty of people willing to try and help you and want to be nice but for pete's sake...it is not our fault that you're having this problem so I'm confused about why you are threatening to cause problems for us. It's rude. I like to be here for information and support. I'm not sending messages just so I can fill up your email box and give you a bad time. Oh and by the way, Have A NICE day ;-) Rhonda, who is being NICE! unsuscribe> > > >> > > >> > > >> TO ALL> > > >> general question. how do you unsuscribe, suscessfully from this> > group.> > > > i> > > >> have gone through the linked "unsuscribe" path and am still> > getting> > > > hundreds> > > >> of unwanted emails. if anybody out there is a moderator for> > this group> > > >> please explain why i cannot be dropped as i reqested.> > > >>> > > >> if this is unsuccessful i will zip all these unwanted emails> > and send> > > >> them> > > >> back out to the group. it would be a pretty large file, and> > probably> > > >> wont> > > >> digest well.> > >> > > >
Guest guest
, Rhonda is right. We've tried to help you and don't know why you are having problems. Please don't destroy a group by sending bulk emails. We all need this group so much. If I didn't have good people to talk to and ask for advice, there are many days I'd be in big trouble. I can't call my doctor and get help like I can from this group because he is very busy. I'm going to look for someway to try to help you. I'll get back to you ASAP.
