Guest guest
Hi Kim: I do, and I believe there are several of us in the group who also have this combination, as well as other illnesses. What makes you think that you have both? Have you been diagnosed with RA? Guest guest
Hi Kim: That was about the time my first symptoms of fibro started showing up - 2 years or so into the RA business. It started with muscle aches and deep bone aches which were definately separate from the joint pain. My fatigue was also overwhelming - fibro also has a fatigue component, so it's a double whammy on that. My doctor at that time said that I probably had some fibromyalgia, but did not dx me at that time, because she was more interested in getting my RA under control. The symptoms of fibro kept on getting worse, and I was finally dx by my second rheumy two years ago, and have been on meds since. Hand stiffness in the mornings, and foot pain is common with fibro too, and some joint discomfort, but no redness, swelling or heat in the joints like RA. If you think that you have fibro, ask your doctor to check it out. It is not unsual, as you see from the responses, and there are different medications for fibro that might be of help to you if you are dx with it. Good luck and hang in there - Kathe in CA --- KIM SNYDER <foxybratgirlkm@...> wrote: > HELLO KATHE, YES I WAS DX. WITH RA. I HAVE HAD IT > FOR ALMOST 2 YRS.
