Yes, IMO vaccines are the main cause of autism, originally from the mercury

containing vaccines like DPT way back over 50 years ago. They have just

shot their main defence (cover-up)--just better diagnosis---to pieces

http://www.whale.to/a/mmr448.html In fact " autism " may have been coined to

cover up a type of vaccine damage. If vaccines can kill and cause servere

brain damage it doesn't take much to figure out they can cause autism, but

the UK gov now denies DPT does cause severe brain damage even though they

have paid out for 900 children--and denies MMR kills EVEN THOUGH they have

paid out for MMR deaths! They lie on a daily basis, so one lie and you are

out as far as I am concerned. All my trust for allopathy went out the

window years ago.

The thing to realise is they are not interested in the truth first and

foremost--they are defending their industry and profession of

allopathy--that means our kids health is second to that business, and

vaccines are out of the control of medical doctors and in the hands of a

business, a business that controls government regulatory bodies as I show

Hi there, I am new too, I will introduce myself in the next e-mail, My name is

Diane Haley, I am an RN in CA. I would like to caution you as the mother of a

preemie...there are many doctors out there who will want to vaccinate your child

at 2 months regardless of what his adjusted age is, I know, I worked in State

child care. Whether you decide to or not to vaccinate, do not allow them to give

shots to your son before he reaches his 2 months adjusted age, which is 2 months

from his DUE DATE, NOT his actual birthday.

I had to fight for this in the case of a preemie who was placed in foster care

because of the mother's habitual drug use. I could not prevent vaccination

because the child was a ward of the state, but I was able to at least have it

done at the normally accepted time rather than timing the shots even before she

should have even been born in the first place.

I am a new mom to a 6 week old boy who was 5 weeks early.

I have been concerned for sometime about vaccinations, especially after a

business associates two children were diagnosed with autism. I did some

community can explain another reason why autism and asthma have skyrocketed, i

I need to become more educated to make an informed decision regarding our son.

If we decided not to vaccinate, I must be able to rationalize and explain our

I look forward to learning and researching with you all as my husband and I

Hi ,

I agree with you that most autism is probably vaccine-related, but not

all, as I know there are children who never got vaccines who have been

diagnosed with it. And although Kanner first described autism in 1943

around the time of the first DPT shot, the first case was in the 1930's.

(Of course that doesn't rule out smallpox vaccine.)

Hi All:

I am new to the group and just wanting to introduce myself. My name is

, I am 38, married and have three kids (8, 5 and 21 months). I am

healthy and about 15 pounds overweight but really want to get in shape. My

current exercise regime consists of walking to the fridge and then back to

the couch. I have tried to exercise in the past but must admit I have a bit

of a motivation problem. The years keep ticking on and I am always planning

to start exercising and I never do.

Just recently I decided I was going to invest in a some exercise DVDs to

hopefully get me motivated. I found the College Video website. It was great

with all the reviews, has anyone ever ordered from there?? Hoping they have

good customer service. I am in Canada and came across CV Sales on-line as

well. Though they do not have all the titles I am considering.

Unfortunately, the more I looked on-line the less I was sure what to order.

Here are some of the titles I am thinking of:

Crunch-Boot Camp, Gin -Everybody Steps/Simply Step, Fitball Challenge,

Quick Fix Stability Ball W/O, Core Secrets(not sure which ones),

Crunch-Candlelight Yoga, Tamilee Webb-Stretch for Flexibility/I want that

body, Cathe-Basic Step and Body Fusion and maybe a few other of Cathes. (She

got lots of rave reviews on-line.) Some of the FIRM ones look good but all

seem to need special equipment. I came across Tracie Long Production DVDs

which looked great but heard they were poor production quality. Anyone know?

I don't want anything with really complex choreography as I am not that

coordinated. Plus I would like some shorter workouts for busy days. I want

to have a some variety in my workout, different programs and instructors. I

also really want to find some good workouts to use with my stability ball.

Equipment I currently have at home: stability ball, 3/5/8/10 pound

dumbbells, smaller Step 2(Do you think I need the longer step?), yoga

blocks/strap/mat and a few Pilates DVDs. Oh, yeah I forgot I also have a

nice treadmill I talked my husband into buying that I don't use either.

Since I am just starting out I would be considered a beginner but want some

DVDS I can grow with and some intermediate stuff for down the road a bit.

Any advice you have on which DVDs to order would be most helpful. Hopefully

I can finally get on the road to fitness.

Thanks

hi lisa and welcome to the group.

i hope we can help you get motivated. i havent ordered anything from collagevideos myself but other said its a good site and you are right the reviews are helpful. i havent done any of the videos you mentioned but i believe some others are familiar with those videos. and a recent post was just made about cathe's basic step. but when you go to collage make sure you read about the choreography. she is a good instructor but almost all her videos are advanced and very tricky choreography. i have some her videos and it took me a good while to get the choreography down. i still have to modifiy some moves so i dont lose my footing. just a a note that very few of cathes are for the beginner as I learned first hand. this is her first beginner videos actually. as for tamilee i have worked out with her before and do enjoy her workouts but i only own one of her videos. she used to be on fittv all the time but i dont know what happen with that. i hope this was of some help. and again welcome

Hi ,

I too don't do a lot of choreography in step. First, I don't like to

think too much in the morning plus I generally watch TV and step at

the same time and lastly, there is always the klutz factor.

I found I like Charlene Pricket's " Lighten up " for a short workout

and her " Step it off, Step it all off " for a fairly average workout

increasing the number of steps to increase the challenge. Jane

Fonda's " Step and Abdominal tape " (it has a great abdominal workout

too!!) and her " step and Stretch Tape " are absolutely wonderful

beginner tapes that I still use that even show you how to step. I

prefer basic moves and increase the step for challenge. :-)

As for collage video.......I love them. When I bought a tape that

seemed to drag a big in one area they sent me a shipping label and

promptly exchanged it no questions asked. They also charge so very

little for shipping and handling. I noticed at Cathe Fredrich

webside shipping is 8.99 for 1 item...........but for the same item

on collage it would be 4.99 and free if you bought 2 more items. You

can also call them up and ask them advise on purchasing

tapes/DVDs.....which I have.....and they are so very helpful.

hi lisa!! im in canada as well. in ontario actually.

you have KW as part of your email address so im wondering if you happen to

be in the kitchener-waterloo area (?)

anyway, collage video is highly recommended for americans. personally i

have used their fabulous website alot but have never bought anything from

there. i try to avoid buying merchandise from the usa because of the high

shipping costs, customs fees and taxes. ugh!

>I am in Canada and came across CV Sales on-line as

>well.

CKsales has good service but i do find their prices to be high, especially

with their shipping charge added on.

another canadian site you can look at is charlene prickett's at

http://www.charleneprickett.com/

for a variety of workouts done by this fitness veteran.

for yoga workouts, please see vancouver's eoin finn at

http://www.vancouveryoga.com

also, dont forget http://www.amazon.ca who sell alot of fitness dvds and

videos and have free shipping over $39.

and http://www.futureshop.ca sells quite a few as well, and they have free

shipping all of the time!

http://www.bestbuy.ca also sells alot of fitness dvds and they have free

shipping too!

and if you just cant find what you want then there is always

http://www.ebay.ca

>Crunch-Boot Camp,

i love this workout! 30 minutes and surprisingly challenging. i like the

instructor. the cast really plays up the army theme.

>Gin -Everybody Steps/Simply Step,

everybody steps is the real basics while simply step is hopefully more

challenging.

im buying simply step, used, from a workout buddy in the usa. (it is easier

to buy merchandise from private usa citizens as they can mark it as a gift

and downplay the value for border customs... i also ask all american ebay

sellers to do this for me as well).

> Quick Fix Stability Ball W/O,

i have this workout with keli roberts and really like it. it is split into

3 ten minute segments -- upper body, abs, lower body. i have my copy out

on loan right now and if i dont get it back then i will definitely buy

myself another copy.

>Crunch-Candlelight Yoga,

i have this on my wish list... ive heard alot of good things about this one.

but, there is another crunch yoga dvd called 'total yoga' that has 2

workouts on it... 'fat burning yoga' and 'the joy of yoga'... so i might

get that dvd instead.

>Tamilee Webb-Stretch for Flexibility

i have this 30 min stretch session on a dvd that also contains another

stretch session called 'total body stretch'.

again, watch out for dvd's that contain more than one workout and buy them

instead, often for the same price, as a dvd with only one of the same

workouts on it, or a vhs.

anyway this dvd is recommended, especially for beginners, and for anyone

who wants a light stretch. there are a few more intense stretch workouts

out there but tamilee is so great that i reach for this one quite a bit.

>I want that

>body,

i have seen/done clips from this series and liked what i saw. i do not own

the dvd though.

> Cathe-Basic Step and Body Fusion

fabulous workouts for beginners. 'basic step' is just that... basic

stepping, nothing tricky. as an intermediate im kind of bored with this

one since ive done it a bunch of times. body fusion is a step and weights

circuit that is more on the intermediate side. also included on this dvd

are three more workouts -- 20 mins upper body, 20 mins lower body and 10

mins abs on a stability ball. cathe uses very light dumbells and

resistance tubing for the toning segments/workouts.

>Some of the FIRM ones look good but all

>seem to need special equipment.

yes and that is unfortunate :( and is what is stopping me from buying the

newest BSS3 workouts (due to the incline step that they use and i dont have).

however, you can still do the BSS1 and BSS2 sets of workouts.

you will need some steps (6 " , 8 " and 10-14 " tall step) and dumbells. the

BSS2 uses a 'sculpting stick' but i substitute dumbells for it. i had my

husband make me wooden steps in the dimensions of the 'fanny lifter' -- or

you could substitute some kind of crate or plastic rubbermaid step

stool. easily bought that walmart or wherever.

> I came across Tracie Long Production DVDs

>which looked great but heard they were poor production quality. Anyone know?

im not sure which set of TLP's you are referring to.

the first set did have some glitches and tracie replaced them all.

i got one of the glitched sets in a trade and it is fine for me.

while the set is a bit dark, cramped and looks low budget, these are quite

advanced workouts led by solid instructors.

i dont know anything about the other set done on the ship (?)

>Plus I would like some shorter workouts for busy days.

check out any and all of the 'quick fix' dvds -- i like 'total mix' which

has three 30 minute workouts on it. it seems that there are lots of 30

minute workouts out these days.

> I

>also really want to find some good workouts to use with my stability ball.

ya know, a really good stability ball routine seems to be few and far between.

i do think that the quick fix keli roberts workout mentioned above is the

best one that i have.

i also have two others that are pilates done on/with the ball and they are

tough!

(keli's is athletic workout -- no pilates...lol).

kathy smith has a stability ball workout for beginners but honestly it is

waaaay too easy and they want waaaay too much money for what it is, so i

would avoid that one.

> Any advice you have on which DVDs to order would be most helpful.

> Hopefully

>I can finally get on the road to fitness.

i hope that my input helps in some small way.

it seems that you are set up really well for equipment and ready to go!!

all you can do is to pick up some workouts and give them a try!

modifying every workout to suit your own personal fitness level, while

providing some degree of challenge is key so please keep that in

mind. besides that, exercising consistently and eating properly will get

you to your goal quickly.

oh! and im sure that 'they' also sell workouts on dvd that you can do with

your treadmill!

or you can get audio workouts for treadmill use as well.

one of my workout buddies likes to listen to books on dvd while she uses

the treadmill.

and im sure that i would use the opportunity to groove to some good music.

treadmills offer a great opportunity to do interval training (slower paces

mixed in with intervals of faster pacing) which is supposed to be very

effective!

Hi Everyone:

Thanks for the welcome and advice thus far.

>>hi lisa!! im in canada as well. in ontario actually.

I used to live in Kitchener but now live in a small town just west of K-W.

" Festival City " is on your signature.....hmmmmm....that doesn't happen to be

Stratford does it?? I grew up in Stratford and live about 20 minutes from

there now.

I want to place a big order so shipping isn't so bad when you are getting

over 4 dvds. Only worry about stuff crossing the border, GST, duty and all

that stuff. I would prefer to order everything in Canada but not sure I can

find everything I want here, especially " Cathe " . (She gets such great

reviews I would really love to have one of her dvds!)

hi lisa!

yep, my husband owns a company called 'festival city concrete' and it is

stationed in stratford.

we live 15-20 minutes outside of stratford too -- but on the other side, in

between stratford and mitchell. so it sounds like we are only about 40

minutes away from each other. cool!

>I would prefer to order everything in Canada but not sure I can

canadians order all of their cathe friedrich workouts from cksales.com

with the exception of her 'basic step/body fusion' dvd, all of her other

workouts are for advanced exercisers. i think that basic step/body fusion

will serve you well though.

Hi -Welcome.

I am always a little suspicious of natural cures. I am looking forward to

discussing our different outlooks and perhaps learning from one another.
