Hip Pain--June

Hi June,

When I had my last massage, about a year ago, the therapist found

several large lumps deep inside near the trochanter, and believe me, I

definitely did NOT feel better after that! It was after that the ortho

dx me with the bursitis, though he did say that the inflammation from

the tumors could be causing it. If I lay on one side too long in bed,

it starts to hurt, then I have to turn over. The only place I'm really

comfortable is on my stomach!

I agree with your son about the roller blades, though I would love to

put skates on again (4-wheel type, the old fashioned ones.) Maybe I'll

build myself a scooter...

For the last few months, I wake up nightly with awful hip pain, and have to

switch sides multiple times until I usually go out and sleep in my recliner. I

sleep on my tummy some, but always seem to end up on my side. When I am healed

from this upcoming surgery, I am going to pursue the hip pain issue. I know I

will be sleeping in the recliner for a couple weeks post op.

Love & hope & health for 2006...

I am not sure but i have responded ro this emaila little while back. I solved

my problem with buying a mattress padabout 1.5 inches thick, like they

advertise , that shows your handprint inking into it and then coming back to

fullness. I don't know why but it works like a char. I bought one for a twin

bed and cut it in half since I do not need it at the bottom ( and it is

expensive and I DO need another at my other home.) Anyway it is helping me get

a good night sleep. Clara from OR.
