Guest guest
How do you find an immunologist? I've been to two hematoligists. They did a bone marrow aspirate on me. They found out that my bone marrow is good but when things leave that area and enter my bloodstream they found out the white cells are being eaten up. I have my CFS specilalist and that's how I found out I have low blood volume. Lou shannon wrote: Sorry for the large type, buy I have a vision deficit. It seems to me you might want to have an immunologist explore for bacteria vs virus. I had that done one when I had been on antiB's for 2 yrs. and he finally put me on one that would stop the symptoms. I've been investigating the Mycoplasmas, and may need to return to him, as reg. docs don't seem to " get it. I read about Casey Fero but I thought his heart was bad? I think he had mycarditis? Something like that? My one problem is low blood volume and that's where alot of my fatigue comes in because it pools at the bottom and then when I lay down it has a chance to flow properly. I didn't want people to misread what I wrote. The Cardiologist is calling me this week. The office was closed today because of the holiday. Also they're excellent at calling back every single time. The reason the Cardiologist said a couple years was because it was just a trace. That's what he meant by that. Cardiologists's can figure out by echo's whether it's serious or not. I didn't mean for anyone to get a wrong idea that he doesn't want to see me. Lou
Guest guest
This is the million dollar question... in July 2005 my doctor said to go to a 'genuine' immunologist, a physician who practices specifically immunology, not an allergist. I could only find 1 outside of NYC and this doctor would not see me because of my insurance. When I said I'd pay out of my own pocket, 'no' was the reply. My search continues with no hope in sight. Please let me know what avenues you take to find an actual immunologist. Good Luck, PJ > > How do you find an immunologist?
