What do you hacve if not asthma???shefy gupta wrote: I was taking it regularly (~2 months) when the idiots "misdiagnosed" me with asthma. i didn't have the reactions then that i had now...they said it was bc today they gave me "undiluted" albuterol...i guess it's stronger? it didn't do crap then and it didn't go crap now. LOL I know...I don't care about the shaking at all...I think it's funny...the heart beating hard and fast is what irritates me...Leigh McCall-Alton <mccallalton> wrote: They gave me the methacholine challenge at National Jewish so yes I know. And I shook like the dickens from the Albuterol afterward and the therapist mentioned this to the doctor despite the fact that they only gave me a half dose. Do you usually take Albuterol at all???shefy7 <shefy7> wrote: Hi all...I got in for a challenge test today...however they didn'tgive me anything to induce asthma. I'm not too familiar with thevolumes and flows and numbers..but she said one of them is at 73% andshould be above 80%. So they gave me the dam albuterol...Now here'sthe weird thing. I had a reaction to it I never had. I coughed when Iinhaled the first time and kept coughing for a few more breaths...I had to take 25 breaths of it and I did, my heart rate got around125 and I couldn't feel it real hard in my chest. I told them I neverhad this reaction and they said it's "undiluted" albuterol...Anyoneknow about this? Very weird...Anyways...test didn't show much improvement...in fact I felt worse...At least now they've ruled out asthma... I really think I have candidanow...Hope all are wellshefy How low will we go? Check out Yahoo! Messenger’s low PC-to-Phone call rates. Guest guest
means they didn't mix it with saline solution we can get just brown bottles of just albuteral the RT's carry them sometimes and have to mix that with something like pulmicort or something melissa >I told them I never > had this reaction and they said it's " undiluted " albuterol...Anyone > know about this? Guest guest
straight albuteral will do that but even if it was dilutated if they would do the whole amount, you would still get the same reactions, i think. the shaking is your nerves being raw. i get that just being wired on 60mg of prednisone and don't sleep for 40+ hours. add albuteral nebs to it, i am a nervous wreck. i have to take ativan to calm down. i never did understand why they check your vitals after a neb treatment,?? maybe someone else can answer that one. I was taking it regularly (~2 months) when the idiots "misdiagnosed" me with asthma. i didn't have the reactions then that i had now...they said it was bc today they gave me "undiluted" albuterol...i guess it's stronger? it didn't do crap then and it didn't go crap now.
