What i was told is it takes up to 2months for you to feel the full effect. But if the good days are fewer and far between i'd have a talk with your doctor. Guest guest Posted December 29, 2005 Report Share Posted December 29, 2005 Hi : If the better days are still getting fewer and fewer with the increased Mtx (and I think the highest dose to be taken for RA is 25mg - someone correct me if I am wrong), and you have been on the increased dose now for 6 weeks with no discernable betterment of your RA, I would say you should call your doctor and let them know. Perhaps it is time for you to look into biologics like Enbrel?
