hi everyone

just after some advice.....please..

My methotrexate was doubled to 20mg about six weeks ago.... questions

should it have taken affect by now???

Hi . I am on Methotrexate also. What i was told is it takes up to

2months for you to feel the full effect. But if the good days are fewer and far

between i'd have a talk with your doctor.

Hi :

If the better days are still getting fewer and fewer

with the increased Mtx (and I think the highest dose

to be taken for RA is 25mg - someone correct me if I

am wrong), and you have been on the increased dose now

for 6 weeks with no discernable betterment of your RA,

I would say you should call your doctor and let them

know. Perhaps it is time for you to look into

biologics like Enbrel? Something to ask your doctor

about -

Arava has it's share of side effects as well, many quite serious. MTX

has a very well known safety

profile and has been used for a very long time.
