Guest guest
To all my friends here, whether you celebrate the holiday or not, I wish for you all the warmth and peace of Thanksgiving. May you find at least ONE thing for which to be thankful, and I pray that your pain will be less and your joy greater. A number of years ago, when I was a Girl Scout leader, my girls made up a large poster which they took to a local senior citizens apartment building. At the top of the poster, it read " please share with us the things that you are grateful for " and the girls started it off by each writing one thing. After Thanksgiving when I went to get the poster, one woman had written, " I was so miserable last week and not looking forward to Thanksgiving. I had intended to take my own life before the holiday. Then I saw your poster, and realized that I DO have things to be thankful for, and I thank you for saving my life. " When I showed it to the girls, they all cried, and it had quite an effect on them (and me!) Blessings and peace, Judi
