Hello everybody,

I was just looking at the Impressive list of Alumini guestbook, that has close to

over 300names on our MGIMS WEBSITE,portal.

So,I am extremely disappointed to see, that not more than 1-2%, contribute on a

daily basis.

I do understand,most of us r very busy with their family,careers etc,and

according to one of my dear friend,Irfan,Pani, electricity, etc etc and can't

write mails on a daily

basis, but I still can't understand the long absence of some known figures from

this site.

Except for a open letter by some of us and the moderator,to one from the '

85batch,to stop writing on this site,long time ago,I don't recollect,anyone

openly prevented from

airing any views, except Yes,On Religious Matters.

Equally, disappointing is the fact that NO new staff member has joined this

site, for reasons best known to them.

We would appreciate,if some of the senior staff, like our Profs, and some of

nonteaching staff even, like the administrative staff, kindly come up on this

stage,and speak a

few words, about their experiences of staying for well over 20yrs in that

institute, about their memories, about their future plans for their dept's

progress and

expectations from their students.

I, for one, would be immensely pleased, to hear from all of them and if need

be,try and do whatever little I could, to see the depts grow.

So,folks,I think,to make this site, more interesting, each one of us must try and

write atleast on a fortnightly basis to share ur side of news and stay connected

with

this group.

I take this opportunity to invite some of our old members, like Avita(A

Moderator,not seen at all

nowadays),Duggal,Amulya,Muthu,Ayesha,Sadhana(Bose),WHOSE LONG

UNEXPLAINED ABSENCE,HAS MADE ANOTHER REGULAR CONTRIBUTOR,ASHOK BHASKAR,to

contribute very little nowadays,(Can't seem to understand the

reason,thou),Neeti,Nilanjana,Anchita,GaneshSrinivasan,Prabha and all those

whom,I have unknowingly forgotten to put in this list.

Don't give me the stat saying, " Kya Fayda " .?

Please come up and liven up the stage, soon.

A special request to my dear friend Raghu, " Apun par Nazaar hi sirf mat rak re

bawaa,thoda,likha bhi kar kabhi kabhi.Tujhe,us dept ka wasta,jisne tumhe,naam

izzat... " (Sorry,got very emotional).

Shyam has made a very sensible and eminently acceptable suggestion. Even if

you write to say " YEEECH " as Prabha did, that is sufficient. BTW Prabha,

that is exactly how my wife reacted to that article.

Ooops! Sorry, Shyam for having contributed to the general lack of enthusiasm -

but I did think I had been letting out a squeak every now and then. I haven't

been completely silent.

Sure, Irfan's quite right about people getting caught up with the more mundane

activities of life - but we all need the company of friends on this group. So,

all those of you (me included) who have caused Shyam Kamath much pain, please

get back!!!

ASHOK, WHAT ON EARTH HAS HAPPENED TO YOU???????????

hi all,

I know most of us are guilty of enjoying the mails on mgims site regularly, and

missing them if there are two few, but not contributing as much.

my excuse is that currently I am bogged down with having a new baby, he is 3

weeks old, and with having another 2 1/2 year old at home, its been crazy.

Will definitely try to keep up.

thanx for the jolt shyam sir.

Good job Shyam sir,U've woken up the sleeping

alumni..I as many others ,am gulity of enjoying the

mails but not responding to them...

I was in india from beginning of jan-end of feb and

had a great time there...was even planning to go to

sevagram as a lot of my batchmates are still there but

didn't work out as something or the other kept on

happening..

Let me share a news with all of u..I've cleared my

step 1 and am currently preparing for step

2..Hopefully would be done with all this by the end of

the year and can start applying for residency then..

Regarding Ayesha, she's currently visiting US with her

husband who's here for a conference.Infact she was

here in land visiting her relatives and she

emailed me asking where I lived and if it was close to

her relatives place....Can u imagine that her

relatives place was only 5 min away from my

house..It's a small world....It was great meeting her

after 4 yrs and catching up on all the gossip

;)))...Must say though,in her 20 day trip Ayesha has

seen more of US than I've seen in my 3 plus years

here...:)))

well, that's bout all for now..I'll definitely try to

be a lil more active than I've been in the last 7-8

months...
