Hi Leona,

Thanks for responding. I'm on the 50/250 and hope I get to the point where you

are soon.

I don't want to use a rescue inhaler if I don't have to because I had one as a

kid and it

made me really jittery, but I also want to be able to walk up a flight of

stairs.

Hi June,

Thanks for the tips. Yesterday and today, I've actually started to feel some

improvement. Usually, in the morning, it's hard for me to inhale without

coughing and today I didn't cough at all. I'm using the Advair Discus

50/250. I'm not ready to try the stairs again yet, but maybe tomorrow.

Thanks for the encouragement; I'm definitely going to stick with it.

Jody I am so pleased to hear that, yes stick with it. It takes several

months to get the full benefit so don't give up on it.

If that doesn't do the trick they will increase the doseage of your

Advair but hopefully you won't need it.

You have to get the medicine right into your lungs for maximum effect.

Can't wait to hear you are soon climbing the stairs again. keep me

posted

Great Jody,

Glad to hear you're feeling some better. You'll be climbing stairs in no time. I use the 250/50 dosage too. I've been much better since I've been on Advair.

I agree about that. I've never had an attack that truly caused me

not to be able to breathe at all, but I don't want to learn the hard

way...

No you don't. Been there and done that and albuterol saved my life twice. I'll deal with the jitters so I can breathe.

I actually walked up a flight of stairs yesterday. I did get short of

breath, but it was much less severe than it had been before. It's slow

progress, but I'm feeling a little better each day. When I first started

taking the Advair, it was hard to inhale sharply without coughing and now I

can inhale and actually hold the medication in my lungs for a few seconds.

Jody that is brilliant news. What a wonderful drug this is, I tell you

it gave me my life back.

I was like you couldn't walk without being out of breath, now I can

swim gently and climb stairs.

This is a good sign that the drug is working for you, you will find

each day you are a little better.

I am so pleased for you.

Love June

Great news Jody. I'm glad you are beginning to feel better. Keep using the Advair and hopefully you'll keep improving.

Take care,
