Guest guest
, How do you find a cane you can hold onto. My left hand hurts like heck as do my fingers and wrists. I don't think I could really use a cane. It would probably cause more trouble than it was worth. I try to get a shopping cart everywhere I go and hold on to it. I am trying to get better at taking my meds everyday...cause that is really my problem. I hate taking meds...so I tend to ignor the bottle if its not right in my face. I was in a wheelchair for 6 months, and in skilled nursing care for 3 of those months. I graduated to a quad cane, then a regular cane. There are still days I need to use the cane, and I do. > The only problem I have now is, because my hands are so affected, I tend to drop the cane alot because I can't hold on to it. > Do I hate using it? Yes. But, I can do so much more with just that little bit more confidence it gives me. And, I was 32 when I started using one. > > > ps.
