I did it - I injected myself! The nurse was wonderful. It was really

much easier than I expected, but MAN, does that stuff burn! (Yes, we

took it out of the fridge half an hour earlier. Any other tips?)

Still, it's better than having an IV, and maybe this is the start of a

new beginning.

Good for you , you make us proud. Some girls I know say they put ice on

the spot first to help with the stinging.

When I had to choose between Enbrel and Humira, this is one of the

reasons I chose Enbrel, LOL. Maybe some Humira users can give you some

tips to minimize the burning. Congratulations on injecting yourself.

You'll soon be an old pro like me.

on, i am just worried i may feel ill after having it

haven't read about any reations to the first injections on this web

site in the 3 years I've been following it. To really reduce the

burning, get it room temperture like you did and then inject VERY

SLOWLY, if it begins to burn, back off, then start again slowly.

I've been on weekly injections for almost a year and I give them in

my abdoman sometimes it takes 4 or 5 min. to inject the vial but it

doesn't sting. Good luck!
