I don't know how common, but my husband says the same thing. My hand also

get very very hot during extremely painful times. I have been diagnosed with

Raynauds, so I just thought it was part of that, because you can watch the

veins move up my wrist and the hands turn color. I didn't realize it was so

pronounced until my 6 year old grandson notices , if I am on the computer.

We are special, and sometimes communication is not our " thing " so it is

someone else trying to help us communicate the pain.

Please take care, and remember to wear gloves, even to bed if it is really

cold.

Gentle Hugs & Prayers,

Carol M. in CA

Hi, guys -

My husband wants me to ask this question. He says he can tell when my

hands hurt because they get really veiny. The more pain, the more the

veins are pronounced. Is that common?

I happens to me too. I am not sure if it is from the swelling making

them more pronounced or the fact that I also have Raynaud's (a common

circulation problem associated with arthritis) that makes my hands

cold and turn blue. I tend to think it is from the swelling...even

mild swelling, but I am not sure.
