As was suggested by another poster, you may need a different brand of levothyroxine. Or you may need a larger dose of levothyroxine or you may need some T3, too. Do you have any hot nodules? In any case, it appears that you are under-replaced. I bet that is why they lowered my meds back in April (which sent me into a tailspin that ended in July with the TSH of 46 I have reported) Thanks for the info! Les, welcome to the group! I felt like I was in the HOV lane ALL the time. Well, thanx guys...I've made an appt with my dr tomorrow ..I just can't live feeling like this anymore!! It's such a nightmare! Well, my dr kept me on tapazole because me TSI was still slightly above normal indicating I was still technically graves but my TSH was 4.8 ...not really that high...but the symptoms are unbearable aaaaaaaa!! Guest guest Posted September 15, 2005 Report Share Posted September 15, 2005 What is it about your endo that satisfies you? Has he tested your Free T3 and your Free T4 on a regular basis? Even more importantly, has he tested your levels of cortisol or any of the other adrenal substances. Yours sounds like a case of adrenal exhaustion to me. This means that your adrenal glands may have been running on high output of cortisol for a long long time, in order to either make up for thyroid problems or for long ongoing stress. This sounds so familiar to me, with the panic attacks and feeling generally ill. Yes, it is thyroid also, but has he tested for these other things? That nausea is the key word for adrenal exhaustion.
