Guest guest
, when I was faced with the same decision, I chose Enbrel because it's been around longer. It was a hard decision to make, but I asked for advice here and then made my decision. As far as injecting yourself, I was afraid, too. But before long I became an expert at it. Now there's nothing to it. Really! I look forward to my shots because I know they are going to make me feel better. I use my stomach, where there are fewer nerve endings and therefore hurts less. Also, I have ample territory there, LOL. I hope that which ever one you choose will help you as much as Enbrel helps me. I have had no bad side effects. Guest guest
Hi, I chose Humira for the same reason. Fewer injections. Had I known how easy it was going to be I might have considered the Enbrel a bit more, but I was nervous about all of those self injections so I chose the Humira. It is so easy to do the injection yourself. I also use my belly because I rarely ever feel it at all. I have been on it for about ten months or so now with pretty good results. I am way better than I was before. I have noticed a few side effects like the yeast infection or fungal infection connection that was mentioned the other day in one of those studies that posts. I think you will probably find good and bad results with either drug; it really depends on each individual's body and how they accept it. Also, Humira has a wonderful patient assistance program so I don't have to pay my copay or anything on it. They deliver it right to the door. They work with my insurance company which is really nice. Good luck with whichever one you choose, but don't let giving yourself shots worry you. It really is easy. Happy Holidays. Tracie > > > Hi, all. Guest guest
I would have started with Enbrel twice a week dosing becuase it contains no preservative and does not burn when injected. You can take both of the shots at one time...or take it twice a week. Some people have said that the they feel the twice a week shots give them better relief than the once a week shots. Guest guest
Enbrel Also has a great patient assistance program as well. They also ship via Fedex overnight to your door. I personally like the fact that Enbrel has two choices...once a week pre-mixed just like Humira and twice a week that you mix that is also preservative free and does not burn or sting. The twice a week version of Enbrel you can take both shots at one time... Toni > > > > > Hi, all. I'm sure this has been covered to death, but I'm > fairly new > > > here, please help me out. Guest guest
I also tried both shots at one time, after the rheumy fellow suggested it. I didn't like getting two shots at one time, and it didn't last the full week for me. I went back to the twice a week shots.
