Guest guest
Hey All-- Just wanted to let you know that I'm about to try something new to me that might be of interest to all of y'all. I'm getting ready to go to a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner on Wednesday to help me quit smoking, and to assist with my thyroid issues. The practitioner I am seeing is licensed and certified. She used to be an emergency room R.N. for twenty-five years, and then went off to one of the more famous acupuncture schools in San Francisco to learn acupuncture and herbology. I will also be going on the nicotine patch for my smoking, as per my doctor's advice. Dr. R was encouraging when I said that I would prefer to use acupuncture as an additional anti-smoking effort, rather than Wellbutrin, as I have not had good reactions to Wellbutrin in the recent past. I will let all of y'all know how it goes. Though I am familiar with some of the terms and concepts of Chinese Medicine, this will be my first experience with it. Best-- Courtenay.
