Requesting Prayers

Hi group. Please don't be alarmed, my mom is doing great today. So good in

fact, she dusted her room, bleached the nicotine stains off of her nails

(never been as long, strong, or as beautiful as they are now), and then

bleached the kitchen sink. The prayers I request are for my son's girlfriend

Marisa. We just got a call from her to get a ride to the hospital. My other

son's girlfriend, Amy, went to get her and then to Olympia (30 miles) to pick

up Isaac to take him to be with Marisa. Isaac & Marisa have been together

since high school. She moved in with us in the fall of 1997 and was a

healthy size 8/10. She is now about a 1/3 and for the first time today she

uttered the words " eating disorder. " She is running a very high temp and

hasn't kept food down for 4-5 days. She refuses to let me call either of her

parents...she tries so hard to be the perfect child, still injured from their

recent, long and ugly divorce.

I believe fully in the power of prayer. If you would just keep Marisa

in your thoughts today and pray for her recovery and the strength to fight

another national epidemic focusing on beauty and body, Anorexia/Bulemia.

Thanks to all of you for hearing this need.

Betty,

Even though she told you not to call, shouldn't you get her to the hospital.

You could be sued for neglect. Prayer's with all of you, Shirley
