A special Happy New Year

Dear fellow group members,

Some years ago when we began this list, I did not know where it would lead

and if it could survive. I had high hopes, but also the grim realities that

we all face.

It was accepted & responded to , but often limited in response & scope

because, I felt. the numbers of members and participants were limited. I

asked for help to keep continuity, because I am erratic, and some people

came forward. Every one of them participated in maintaining and building

our list in their own particular style. And at this time, with broad-based

participation, there is an added maturity.

I have personally drifted away from it as a moderator over the past year

or more based on my own needs & limits. But people have always been here

for me when I could participate or when I needed to. My recent life has

been an odyssey of adapting to progressive disability and rebuilding my own

personhood.

Without the serious commitment of and Ray; and the participation of

all of you, this would be ancient history. There is no way I can thank each

of them enough for their selfless giving and caring, beset by their own

struggles as are we all.

So Happy New Year to all, and special thanks for the kindness compassion

and commitment of & Ray.
