Guest guest
Most people don't know about this but there is this thing through the VA that will pay for your prescriptions, nursing home, and hospital bills if you or your spouse were a veteran. I never knew about it until my dad played golf with some 82 year old guy that was a vet from WWII. My grandparents qualify as my grandad was a pilot for 5 years over Europe and Africa. My dad did not qualify as he did not have 2 years full service as he was primarily National Guard in the 50's and early 60's. I just went to Ask.com and put in Veterans Adminisration and down loaded form 10-10EZ and filled it out and brought it to the Veteran's Hospital here in Des Moines. They will also need copies of honorable discharge, marriage certificate, as well as copies of your current health insurance carriers (ie Blue Cross and Medicare). Within about 4 months your loved ones should have prescriptions for very little cost as well as nursing home care at a mere fraction of what they are paying as self pay! Mine were paying nearly $90,000 a year and will only have to pay about $13,000 a year now and be able to stay where they are. It's worth checking out and spread the word cause Uncle Sam won't tell you about it! TJ
