Hi Doreen:

Welcome to the group - the people here are very caring

and supportive, and our moderators, a and ,

supply is with a lot of great information - I read of

things here that my doctors have not known of. I have

RA and Fibro, and joined this group two years after

diagnosis, have been here four years, and only wished

I had know of it in those first two years, when I

needed the information and support even more.

For joint pain, I use rice socks, and they are great

because they form to the joints nicely, I just wrap

them around my wrists or elbows, neck, and drape them

over my shoulder joints. You can even put potpourri in

with the rice to make it smell good too - a little

aroma therapy at the same time can't hurt lol. Just

don't fill the socks too full or they won't be as

pliable. Also, the good old hot shower or bath helps

joints as well.

Good luck with your next rheumy visit - let us know

how it goes and what your rheumy decides to do.

Hopefully he is of the mindset to begin treatment

aggressively if the RA dx comes back positive, as that

is the best approach to fighting this disease.
