Guest guest
Hi: I also have DDD.....now what is known about the likilihood of the whole spine deteriorating. So far I have had fusions of C-4-5/C-6-7. L-4-5, L-5s!,fusions and laminectomys. Any thots. Norco will also build in tolerance. I know I took it forever. I now use it for breakthrough..along with Methadone for pain. Alice
Guest guest
Hi Kay, Thank you so much for the information. I keep telling my Dr. I refuse to take Lipitor (sp?) because of my kidneys and liver. I drink a minimum of 64 oz. of water a day, and sometimes more. The low amount in Norco sounds great! I'm going to call him about it next week. DDD is degenerative disc disease. Mine seems to be primarily in my back, and is also with friends who have it. I would assume though, that it could be other places in the body. BTW, Vicodin is 5/500, 7.5/750 and 10/660. Are you a nurse? Another group I'm on - for fibro - has 5 nurses! We get pretty fast, accurate information. But no one there has ever mentioned Norco! Thanks again, Jo Norco Welcome Jo, I'm a member of the list who doesn't post very often, only when I'm sure I have something to add. This group usually answers quickly and has great info. Norco is basically the same as Vicodin or Lortab; it has more hydrocone and less acetaminophen. I think it is: 10mg hydrocone and 325mg acetaminophen (10/325). Lortab is 5mg/500mg (5/500), and Vicodin is, well I don't recall but think it is 2.5 hydrocone and 750 mg acetaminophen (2.5/750). The reason Lortab or Norco are both better for chronic pain patients is the amount of Tylenol (acetaminophen) in Vicodin is hard on the kidneys and liver, if taken too often, or too much in a 24-hr period. I'd ask your Pharmacist or Dr.. Can you remind me what DDD is? Sincerely, Kay SF Bay Area kayfrank3@...
Guest guest
Dear Alice, Am I ever learning today! What is a laminectomy? My Dr. has been grumbling about C 4-5-6-7 for months now. Can you tell me anything else about DDD? I don't know too much. I'm usually much better about checking these things out. Guess the fibrofog and depression are in the way. I'll have to start doing that again. Thanks, Jo Re: FW: Norco Hi: I also have DDD.....now what is known about the likilihood of the whole spine deteriorating. Guest guest
vicodin is 5/500 there are many drugs that affect the kidneys and liver. it is best to have periodic blood tests to check them. knowing my deceased mom's life and ending, i know my destiny will be close to hers...hopefully, i will not be a renal failure patient. solibene --- Kay wrote: > > Norco > > > Welcome Jo, > > I'm a member of the list who doesn't post very > often, only when I'm sure I > have something to add.
