Guest guest
Hi Courage, 1. Did your LO have high blood pressure before dx and/or after? Mom didn't have high blood pressure, just angina. She developed high blood pressure after a bladder infection at Christmas this year. The doctor put her on a 1/2 a water pill.(also controls b.p.) hydrochlorazine I think. something like that. 2 I understand that there was a high blood pressure med that contributed to Alz or Parks - are any of you aware of this drug?. >>No. 3. Was your LO dx with having had a mild stroke before LBD dx? Mom lost her hearing in one year several years ago. She has always said it was a small stroke. When I asked her how she knew that, she said the doctor said it was probably a small stroke. Her CT Scan showed no signs of stroke. Her hearing has never returned and she refuses to wear a hearing aid as the one she got after losing her hearing, picked up too much background noise and was frustrating to her. 4. Were your LO's on anti-depressant/anti-anxiety medications before dx of LBD? God I wish. Mom has never been on medicine for depression, despite my directly asking for it. There are reasons I guess, but I keep telling the doctor to keep it in mind. He thinks she is depressed because she is not in her home. I know she has been depressed for years before that. 5. Did any of your LO's complain of pain in the shoulder/arm areas before LBD dx? Not specifically, but then mom has arthritis so it may not have seemed different. 6. What did you notice first - problems with cognition or problems mobility? Cognition definitely. Hallucinations. Memory loss. Confusion. Sigh. Hope this helps. Sorry I took so long to respond. Guest guest
Hello Ruth, Nice to see a post from you. The first three answers you gave to Courage's questions are identical for my Dad. On the fourth we noticed mental problems before physical. Has your father settled in at the assited living facility? How is he doing?
