Guest guest
, Cozumel was not what I expected and I saw parts of it I wish I hadn't seen. We went to the park and went snorkeling, but my dad had breathing problems so we spent most of the time in the hospital. My memory of that park was being driven by the park ranger 85mph in an open jeep on those unpaved roads. The harrowing ride through the streets was so scary as well. The residents are allowed to run red lights providing they stop first. I wish I could have smoked the foliage LOL! Then they weren't going to let him back on the cruise ship because even though the Mexican doctor cleared him for travel, the cruise ship's doctor didn't want to take the responsibility. The only reason we got back on that ship is because there was miscommunication between the doctor and the captain and the ship already took off. After seeing the experience of what happens if there is a health emergency in a foreign country, it will be a long time before I venture out of the good old USA. They lost all their docks in the hurricane, so there is nowhere for the ships to dock. Hopefully they will get them rebuilt quickly. Tourism is the major income for the people there and they will be devastated without the cruise ships. Maybe one day I'll go again and my visit will be more enjoyable. Or maybe all of those events were some kind of conspiracy to keep us there? a On Nov 22, 2005, at 5:11 PM, Bauman wrote: > Wow, a, besides being a fellow Mulder, I, too, was in Cozumel > last year. Guest guest
I went to Cozumel a couple of years ago as part of a cruise. We actually didn't see much of it because it took us a very long time to get to the ruins at Tulum. Those ruins were worth seeing!
