Guest guest
Lin, Remember, one of the things about a " support group " is that we lift each other up and support each other. If you feel like sharing what's bothering you later, we promise to be good listeners! And, confidential listeners, also!! Not trying to force you into anything -- hey, we all have our ups and downs. I certainly do! In fact, I had one yesterday now that I think about it. The wonderful thing about life is that it doesn't have to stay the same! I am feeling some better " up " wise today. And probably even better tomorrow. Anyway, just wanted you to know that we care around here! The only thing I can figure is that everyone is staying off their computers, as this is about as dead as it's been in this group in a long, long, long, time! Maybe the computer virus has everyone watching tv instead?! Oh well. Take care of yourself, Lin!! Guest guest
PJ....You are such a nice person and so very kind in what you write. Kind and helpful and understanding. I just want you to know that. Its like you've been given this gift and you use it so well to help. I also say this about this group. All of you are so kind and understanding. In sharing and caring and understanding. This group has really helped me and does everytime I read the affirmations or whats sent in, the stories. I really feel good inside. The story about the bird was so great and so true and made me feel good. I know Im not a good writer in answering someone with something bothering them, but I think about them and always add them to my prayers. Your right PJ I just feel down not really for any big reason and tomorrow I hope to feel up. I guess winter is starting to get to me and Im really missing my dawg. Im able to talk about him now with other people for a bit. Somedays I just miss him so much. He was SUCH a big part of my life. I have been doing really good though with negative thoughts, counteracting them with positive. I think its the best Ive ever done, so Im proud of that. And its only been since Ive been on this group that Ive been able to achieve that. Someone wrote something not to long ago about ......getting a computer virus and counteracting it with...at least I have a computer and the knowledge to use it, at least I dont have a real virus..etc. That stuck with me and Im trying to use that too. I know I have used that but maybe it was the way she wrote it that made more sense to me. I rem I always used the be grateful with my children especially as they got older. My daughter(the constant complainer) would go on about something and I'd always come back with be grateful you have (whatever) as some are without limbs. Even though after awhile it didnt work, she just made fun of me..I know life's lessons will teach her gratefulness or I can only hope they will. So when I think of my dawg I am grateful I had him and grateful for those 9 yrs he was with me and for what he gave to me, and what I gave him back. I know it doesnt help with the missing him part but it helps to remember the happy times with him. Maybe when its quiet in here sometimes its a good thing, I always hope it means that people are doing good, or better or happier. I can only hope so. Take care and God Bless Big Hugs Lin Lin, Remember, one of the things about a " support group " is that we lift each other up and support each other.
