Guest guest
Your Simple Pure Sole Purpose Once again my daily rituals and practices netted more riches than gold. I sat at my kitchen table, doing the occasional writing-and- reading combo. I am an avid reader and a very committed writer. I recognize these two arts match splendidly in the same way the perfect accessories make an ordinary outfit breathtakingly beautiful. I was reading an essay entitled " Compassion in Action " written by Mother . I was reading slowly and deliberately, allowing myself to slowly breath the words into my lungs, into my heart, into my bloodstream and into my soul. " We have all been created for the sole purpose to love and be loved. " Mother wrote. Wow. She was speaking directly to me. She reminded me that my only purpose, my real work  as I have explained to people before  is to love my clients, love my readers, love everyone I encounter. This includes the " work " of loving people I meet as I go about living my daily life, whether that person I am loving is a street person or a corporate executive, a prisoner or a professional, my job is to love them and to be loved by them. I accept this as very clear and very simple and also very profound. We have the privilege to simply, purely love people. It puts it into a nutshell. Kahlil Gibran said it in his work, The Prophet, " Work is love made visible. " That means all work is love made visible. A-ha. Like a light going on, I heard Mother ’s words even more deeply. No matter what hat I am wearing, no matter what task I am completing, no matter what my role is in that moment, staying focused on my " sole " purpose will also nourish my " soul " purpose. My soul purpose  the purpose which connects me to the divine and connects me to the life force in others  is to love and be loved. Your soul purpose? You may wrap it up in other words, in other images, in other sub-meanings. This is excellent. We are all made to be unique in our expression and in our wrapping. What is at the core of all of us, though, is the giving and receiving of love. This deep, rich, wellspring of energy is the opening to all that we are meant to be. It is at the basis of all that we do and all that we have and all that we create. Love and Be Loved.
