Guest guest
Hi group, I posted awhile back when my Dad had been diagnosed with LBD. i had many heart felt replys and appreciated them very much. Looking back i think i was trying to put my head in the sand. i stopped going to the group. long story - short, i am back and really feeling the need for info and support. i did not know that this was a terminal desiese until just reading some recent posts. Breifly, my Dad had been falling. had a couple of trips to the er. the last time he went, he also had a respitory infection. the reason for taking him to the er was that he had started hallucinating. while in the er they gave him haldol which sent him totaly over the edge. he spent 3 weeks in the hospital with diganoses such as heart attack, not heart attack. stroke, not stroke etc. bottom line we never got a finale diagnosis. it was later when he started seeing a neuroligist that he was diagnosed as probable lbd. Sorry, did not mean to rattle on so... hope you can figure out the miss spelled words. spelling is not my long suit. just wanted to let you know i am back. and to thank the ones who took the time to reply the last time. Warmly, Judy
Guest guest
Judy So glad you are back. I quickly learned with LBD, from any caregivers perspective, the emotions run ramped. I always thought I was on a huge roller coaster that 1) I didn't pay for and 2) could make me feel sick to my stomach. Atleast you are back and hopefully will feel the care and support this group has to offer. Please keep posting, ask questions, or just vent. Hope to see more of you here!! :-)) Sandie
