My mom was diagnosed with LBD almost two years ago. We recently placed her in an assisted living facility for 24 hour care . She has only been there for two months and we are coping with the adjustment of not having her at home. Her Parkinson symptoms are becoming more pronounced and her dementia has greatly increased. She has also been falling and we are very worried about her care. She was in the hospital in November because of aspiration pneumonia which, in turn, forced us to make the decision to place her in an assisted living. She is just now getting over another respiratory infection and is on antibiotics. I struggle each and every day. This is so incredibly hard and painful, but this group has been a God send in many ways. Hope I can be of help. It is wonderful to communicate and draw strength from each one who is going through the same emotions with LBD. My prayers are with you!
