Guest guest
Since we've been talking about off-the-wall symptoms, I wondered if any of you experienced this one: my skin, especially on my face seemed to age really quickly right before I got sick. Now, keep in mind, that I smoke, but even as a smoker I wouldn't think the skin change would happen so quickly. And I tapered down dramatically after I got sick. A year before I was sick, I was often mistaken for a young college student. Now, after the skin change, there are noticeable lines around my mouth and my forehead that make me look anywhere from my mid-twenties to mid-thirties. I have been moisturizing seriously since my mid-twenties. The only thing I've discovered that seems to be doing some serious repair is Kay skin products (just started on them two weeks ago)-- I really thought I'd tried everything from Burt's Bees to Vitamin E oil to Lancome. I look a lot less dry on the Kay stuff, and a considerable amount more life-like. As a bonus, the Kay stuff does not contain soy. Besides the thyroid hormone imbalance, I have pretty serious DHEA issues, and two different types of anemia-- would any of these caused a lack of oxygenation to my face? BTW, I just turned 30 this year. Courtenay.
