Guest guest
Hi C, Thankyou so much for your supportive words. I'm so sorry to hear your Dad ,Erwin has this 'no mercy' disease at such a young age. I really don't want to be too pushy and press any wrong buttons with you or anyone else,(so please tell me if I am out of line) but I think if I understood more, it will help me cope. You mentioned your Dad being at the early stages of LBD, so I would like to ask if it would be possible for you to give me some insight as to what he has experienced physically/emotionally so far & how you responded. I understand behaviour/reactions are very individual, but if you would like to share this info with me, I would appreciate it very much. I too think it is wonderful sharing our fears/thoughts & feelings...usually I am not this 'open'. Thanks to all of the beautiful hearts on this site...I can't & don't want to imagine going through this without you all at LBD Caregivers!! You having Sandie nearby must be fantastic. I think we should clone her!!! LOL :-) Sandie II, first destination... Melbourne Australia! , I couldn't begin to imagine the weather you are describing. Fortunately we don't get anything like that here. & what a wonderful person your husband must be, to venture out into weather like that to help others. Warm Wishes to you and your family Kind Regards Emma Sandie....thankyou so much once again for your support (I have a feeling that won't be that last time I say that) and I will definately keep you/all informed of Dad's/my progress. Kind Regards Emma
Guest guest
I sent you a big e-mail about my dad. Did it come through? If not, I will re-type. C. ADel, IA
Guest guest
Emma You have warmed my heart on this cold (18 degrees farenheit) in Iowa. I just got in from doing 'clean up duty' with shoveling snow. Meteorologists say we were hit with 13 " of snow...and with the blowing, some places here had 2 foot. This is the Iowa winter I remember growing up. I have never been to Australia, but if I were cloned you would be my first visit. Of course I would have to visit Sally in England, and Siobhan in Ireland as well. You are so sweet with your compliments, thank you! :-)) Sandie - " The Sequel Continues "

Guest guest
Emma Thank you for your reply. I am almost comforted knowing I am not going through these emotions alone. Even though taking you back to the times when you cleared out your moms clothes was painful, it comforted me to know I am not alone. Hope that makes sense. So many memories come flooding back and it leaves us with almost a numb feeling. Definately a 'final' job we have to do. Thank you so very much for your kind words. I truly appreciate your posts! Keeping you in my prayers. Sandie
Guest guest
Emma Last week here in Des Moines, IA we had 14 inches of snow. Didn't take any pictures but have the memory stuck in my mind, of all the snowblowing and shoveling. Then, just yesterday it snowed another 2-3 inches on top of the already 14 inches we had...another winter in Iowa. Tonight we are expecting record lows of an actual temperature of -10 degrees. Brrrrr....and the wind is really blowing. Stay cool, as I try to stay warm. Hugs to you! Sandie
