Guest guest
However, my pain clinic doctor said that wasn't necessarily true. You can't say that fibro is your one and only diagnosis if you have several autoimmune diseases... I have tested positive for autoimmune now they just have to figure out which one has anyone ever had this happen? I do have many symptoms of Fibro and CFS but as I understand it they would not make this test come out positive so they are doing further tests for lupus and the such. Guest guest
I have many other problems like the classic malar rash and have to wear sunblock, hat and sunglasses when i go outside. It is much easier staying inside. I also have asthma, hypertension, OA of the spine, GERD, chronic sinusitis, essential tremors, major depression and who knows what else is lerking behind the flesh Hi Pam yes it sounds like you are in the same mess i sure would like to know whats causing this pain .. I have High bllod pressure and disabetes they in fact think maybe my liver test was elevated because my sugar test was elevated,,but that still doesnt answer this pain and the auto immune positive and sed rate also elevated my symptoms are very close to fibro.CFS and i have about 13 of the fibro trigger points but i guess that wouldnt make the tests come out this way unless i have more then one thing going on.. Guest guest
Stella, I hope that you don't mind me jumping in here, but what kind of pain do you have? I have Peripheral Neuropathy a few Diabetics get it, it is a serious complication. But I am not Diabetic but I know a few ladies that are.. A couple of them have PN but only numbness and weakness in their arms and legs.. Then there are some that have Sensory Polyneuropathy ( like me ) With Sensory PN you feel pain such as extreme cold in feet and hands, numbness, stinging, tingling, stabbing, electric shocks and real bad aching pain in your legs. Then there is the burning pain and cramps. The symptoms usually start with the feet, but not always. I have Sensory Polyneuropathy and was diagnosed with it three years ago. If you have any symptoms such as these especially if your feet and toes start to tingling that is a warning sign that it could be PN. If you do you need to go and see a Neurologist as some GP don't really know about PN, but the Neurologist should. Guest guest
Hi Mel, My neuro thinks the PN was caused from when I had Breast Cancer back in 91, I have been cancer free for 10 years now...My Oncologist says no to the Cancer theory saying I would have started with the symptoms longer than three years ago...I tend to agree with him although I did have aching legs and the Old Oncologist would say it was not the Tamoxifin that was causing it, so apparently it is a Mystery , From: mel To: chronic_pain Sent: Tuesday, April 17, 2001 12:41 AM Subject: Re: Fibromyalgia /CFS..auto immune??? Guest guest
Hi, haven't submitted for a while. Does anyone have any info on Tethered Cord Syndrome. It is a tethering of the spinal cord due to being born with Spina Bifida. I am going in for my third operation May 4, and would like to hear from those who have had repeat operations of this type and the success of the operation. All research so far indicates a very low success rate and actually making things worse. Thanks, Mike --- wendy schmidt wrote: > Hi Mel, My neuro thinks the PN was caused from when > I had Breast Cancer back in 91, I have been cancer > free for 10 years now...My Oncologist says no to the > Cancer theory saying I would have started with the > symptoms longer than three years ago...I tend to > agree with him although I did have aching legs and > the Old Oncologist would say it was not the > Tamoxifin that was causing it, so apparently it is a > Mystery > > , > From: mel > To: chronic_pain > Sent: Tuesday, April 17, 2001 12:41 AM > Subject: Re: Fibromyalgia > /CFS..auto immune??? > > > Windy > what can cause you to get > PN? > > xoxoox > mel > > > > Stella, I hope that you don't mind me jumping in > here, but what > kind of pain do you have?
