Hello Affirmation Friends,

It is with deep sadness that I write you tonight and ask for your prayers for

one of our former co-moderators. Nola, who many of you knew -- has gotten quick

sick with lymphoma. She is on many medications, this is a very recent

diagnosis, and they are still waiting for more test results.

I believe that she has been unable to work due to her illness the past month or

so, and Summer, her daughter (also a former co-moderator) is trying to support

them at Mcs or Burger King (can't remember which).

Many of you thought the world of Nola as she was such a good friend to you and

was so wise and caring in helping others. And also, some of you had differences

with her.

But, I am asking you as my friends, to please say a prayer for Nola, and for her

daughter, Summer. They live in Minnesota and can really use some prayers at

this time.

Nola and I always had a love/hate relationship -- we loved each other

tremendously, but would also fight like cats and dogs and disagree at times, as

well. But, I always cared about Nola and still do. This is hard for me to

write you of this news. I didn't even ask permission to tell you guys about

Nola, but I felt that the more prayers sent her way the better!! (Her last name

is ).

I recently read an article that said that prayers for an individual USING THEIR

WHOLE NAME AND LOCATION can do wonders for a person, even if you don't know

them, or if you are far away from them. I guess I was hoping that all of us

would keep Nola in our thoughts and prayers at this time. Thank you for

understanding, and for listening.

Love & hugs, PJ

This comes as a surprise mostly because I'm a member of the American

Society For Positive Thinking group where Nola is a moderator & she

has still been posting a lot in there. I do think highly of Nola &

consider her a good friend, so I will be thinking about her.

LeAnn,

Thanks so much! I believe that Nola went to another doctor and they

also said diagnosis of 'lymphoma', but now they plan to run some CT scans so

they will know more. I'll let you know if I hear of anything. Thanks for the

prayers for Nola!! Love, PJ

Pam,

Sure! Nola's email address: typingfingers@...

You might type 'affirmations' in the subject line in case she doesn't

recognize any of your names. These days you have to be careful!! That is a

terrific idea! Email get well cards are wonderful to receive -- when you are

sick. Thanks for the suggestion! Love & Hugs, PJ

Kerry,

I do not believe that she has even mentioned her illness in that group.

Or at least that is what she told me. But, the reason I brought it up here was

because I knew she had many friends in affirmations and because I felt she

needed extra prayers! You know how she is -- one day she is in the pits and

really sick, the next she is just fine, and acting like everything is cool.

But, because I know her so well, I've seen her fear, too. I do not want to

betray a confidence, but felt so strongly that she needed extra prayers, that I

risked sharing this info with you guys. It felt " like the right thing to do at

the time. " . Thanks much for your prayers for her!! Love & Hugs, PJ
