Hi PJ and everyone,

I had my surgery yesterday afternoon, and it lasted for about an hour. I

was home in the early evening.

I have developed very little pain, bleeding since than. It's kind of

unusual. They didn't pack my nose with gauze either like I thought they

would. They just sprayed some ointment in my nose. I didn't mind.

This morning, I'm feeling better. My symptoms that I have had for a long

time appear to be gone. I actually slept last night with no sleeping

medication. I feel pretty good considering.

I know you must feel ten times better than when you went in! My father had

the same surgery several years ago and he said it was like night and day and

was glad that he had the surgery. Glad to hear that everything went well.

I apologize, I'm behind on reading all of the emails, and just read a

few here and there, when I'm not feeling too bad.

I'm absolutely thrilled to hear that the surgery went so well, and

that you are recuperating without any problems. Maybe they don't pack the nose

with gauze after surgery anymore, but I hadn't heard of that, but I imagine it

feels better without the gauze!! Stay in touch and let us know how the

recovery is coming along in another week or two! So glad that the surgery is

Hi PJ, Pam and anyone else I missed.

Some of my symptoms returned after I wrote to you after the surgery.

I went to my Dr Friday afternoon. I thought he cleaned out everything

in surgery, but he only did what he could. Friday, he cleaned out a lot

more blockage in my sinuses in his office. He stated that there is still

quite a bit in there to get out. He's talking at least another visit or

two before my sinuses are clear. He stated my frontal sinus cavity is

still blocked and thus not getting any air and that's why I'm still

feeling crummy.(I am improved, but still miserable). He said it will

take a few weeks to get feeling 100%. My next visit to clean more

blockage out is April 7th. In the meantime, I'm supposed to use a salt

water/baking soda solution in an ear bulb to flush out my sinuses twice

a day, along with using the saline solution they gave me in the hospital

4 times a day. This will help loosen everything up.

My doctor said the autonomy of my nose is so unusual. I...he...my mother

all feel that it is the result of a major bicycle accident I had when I

was a child. I believe that is what contributed to this whole thing. My

sinus cavity has always been so narrow as a result of the accident, so

I've never had the proper drainage. My doctor stated that he will widen

it up a lot more after the blockage is cleared up in a few weeks.

I'm still on the road to recovery. It's just going to take a little bit

longer..

since the surgery, as you are on the road to recovery I wish you all the best.
