Butterflies--OT

As I filled my hummingbird feeder, a beautiful blue swallowtail

fluttered around (apparently looking for a handout.) As I thought

about how lovely it was, a monarch came fluttering by, adding a flash

of brown and gold to the swallotail's brilliant blue. True, the

monarch isn't as grand, but certainly beautiful. Something caught my

eye in the corner of the yard (we have 2/3 acre) and it looked like a

sunflower had fallen on the grass. Hey, wait a minute, we don't HAVE

any sunflowers!! As I walked over, a whole cluster of little yellow

butterflies (moths?) which had settled on the grass rose up and filled

the back yard with their flitting here and there, and with the

hummingbird feeder filled, six hummies buzzed happily.

It made me think of this group--some of us are blue swallowtails,

others monarchs, still others little yellow butterflies. Our

differences don't matter, because EVERYONE is beautiful (yes, even you

Ken.) We all have our place, and none is lovelier than another.

Thank you all for being here!
