Guest guest
Charlene...You just dont know how your kind words have comforted me tonight. I cant think of anything that he didnt have or need. Everyone that met him loved him and he loved everyone. Yes he will always be with me in spirit, as yours will be with you as he knew how much you loved him also. We ARE doing good! ONE day at a time! Warm caring hugs I could definitely see the Boxer in him. Beautiful boy! God blessed both of you when he allowed you to find Duke and adopt him. You were obviously a wonderful " mom " to him. That is the best a pet can have...a loving owner, shelter, food...all the good things in life! He in return gave you unconditional love, what more can a human being want for? He is still with you in spirit because he has been a part of your life. We are doing good!! One day at at time!! Hugs of comfort, Charlene

We knew each other for about a year prior. The funny thing is that I was getting over my divorce and wasn't looking to meet anybody either because I didn't think there were any " good men left " . I was swearing off men!! Then I met him and fell head over heels!!! Funny how that happens, huh? So, guys and gals, the moral of the story is don't try so hard to find the right person. Let it go and see what comes your way! Charlene
Guest guest
Thankyou Charlene for all that interesting information of Arizona. I enjoyed hearing about it. It sounds like a nice place to live. I would like to live anywhere there isnt snow. The desert ground usually soaks up the rain pretty quickly and can't take anymore rain and the arroyos (wash beds) begin filling up and they become " rivers " ....more like the " rapids " . They can get very dangerous if you are walking in the wash because the water comes in suddenly. In Arizona, we have about two different climates (three if you count the tops of the mountains) in the state separated by the Mogollon Rim, which is where the change in elevation takes place. About mid-state, North of Phoenix, the elevation is much higher, but it is still desert and called the " high " desert. That's where we can go to see snow in the winter and the autumn leaves in the Fall. There is even snow skiing in certain areas like Flagstaff and the White Mountains (which is East toward New Mexico). Yesterday, Flagstaff got some snow and people are looking forward to an early ski season! The bottom half of the state is the " low " desert. We don't get snow for the most part, but in some towns immediately North of Phoenix and in North sdale, there has been instances of a dusting of snow or just icy rain. We have had hail that came down so hard and heavy that it had the appearance of snow. But that is not often. Like I said, it is a rarity when we get rain. Some cities ration the water. We have the usual warnings to use water sparingly. Some people heed the warnings and others don't. Our water supply comes from the Colorado river and is shared by a number of states in the Southwest, including parts of California and even another country, Mexico. Throughout Arizona there is a canal that brings the water to the processing plants; that whole water reclamation process is due to the Central Arizona Project. That is also how we get electricity. I live in the " low " desert near Phoenix/sdale. Charlene Lady wrote: Thats very interesting..I didnt know that. My the things that you learn about other places people live..its just interesting. You are talking about the low desert, is that where you live? Whats the other part like. But when you dont get rain for long periods of time like that do they ration water as for ouside use? Eventually, after a summer or two, they see how hard it is keep up and usually let it go...or put Arizona landscape, which is landscape rock and the normal desert flora. I have seen some people who put landscape rock in and paint it green to make it look like grass. <hee, hee> The only other times you may see grass is the golf courses or resorts. But, I love it here. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else! Charlene Lady wrote: Lol..I would be beside myself too if it hadnt rained for that long..I've been thinking..Do you people have grass? like front lawns? Do they limit your water supply after that long. Im really glad its rainning...now in the winter do you get more rain than the summer? Just wondering..
