Guest guest Posted December 13, 2005 Report Share Posted December 13, 2005 Hi all. After getting one of those terrible computer viruses I've been without a computer for several weeks. During that time I have thought of a million questions I wanted to ask but couldn't!! Anyway, during my absence I started taking Plaquenil. At first I said I wasn't going to take anything but when the first cold spell hit, I knew I couldn't make it and continue with any kind of life. I expected to be put on MTX but the doc started me on Plaquenil. What's the difference in Plaquenil and the other drugs you hear about? Right before I started taking it my hair started breaking off in chunks, and now 5 weeks into the medicine, it has started falling out! Eyelashes and all! Is this normal? I've also had to start taking something for nausea because I was throwing up all the time! Is all this normal? Thanks guys. I'm so glad to be back on line!
