IMP camp MUst be crazy. it is 6 : 36 mountain time writing this from lobby of comfort inn airport denver tried to travel yesterday Isolated thunderstroms all over East coast meant planes backed up everywhere Had driven 2.5 hrs to portland maine got on plane was told to get off plane waitied 1 hr in line to hear all they could offer was a 3 am bus to bosotn for a flight to San Francisco then to Col. Springs WE said no we will go home Had meltdown Called Eads .Eads very nice tome. At that momment gate opens they yell get on the plane we are going to Washingotn Dulles Get on plane. Wait for 6 yrs in a line where says he cannot get me a flight until Sunday but we cam go standby to Denver at 10 pm WE sign up says you bags will go to denver the 10 pm flihht is delayed til midnight They call our names I offer to marry the man who puts us on that lfight. WE board The door is borken they call maintainance SOme people have not arrived we wait some more.Plane takes off at 12 40 am. Very tired. Ken flals asleep with soda in hand when I go to restroom- -->coke covered pants. Arrive Denver 4 am my body time ,2 am localOnly thing open in airport is a bar. No bags arrive. What did i think??. One of my luggage tags had fallen off Mortal sin They cannot find any record of a second bag--one mine One Ken's Since this is camp I donot have carry on with underwear with me.I have laptop Wander around Denver airpot where people are sleeping on cots. No more cots left.. Next flight to Co Springs is 3 days away Several people tell me there are no hotels in Denver. They mean there are no rooms Rent a car i s closed .No luggage . no bed .no way to get to Camp Ken calls hotels finds us a room here Michele has called my phone to tell me there is a shuttle and given me all kinds of actually how to do it info I find the shuttle on this computer in the lobby and get the number. We go to bed at 4 am or so I get up 6am mountain time I am so confused and filthy I have no idea whatis ahppening and I call the shuttle and get a spot to go to CO Springs Hope underwear will arrive there It was stillIn Washingotn Dulles-the bags- at 4 am somebodies' time. ARE we having fun yet? Hope to see you soon. I thikn there were a few more awful details but I cannot even rememebr my name at the moment Did Gordon say there will always be cranky pepole? Yep and they is me. Back to bed for two hrsNOW---BUT let me tell you something Michele Eads is a saint. She was very nice to me yesterday to put it mildy I was having serious emotional problmes. More photos posted this morning when internet access back up. You have to log in on the Yahoo groups site and click on photos. 's husband took amazing photos and I think Lou will eventually get to post come of those and others, but I wanted to get some up now. has underwear and clothes. We've planned a procedure workshop by Joann at next year's camp because she's an amazing wealth of experience. What an amazing group of human resources we have! Everybody has experiences and ideas to share and it is a great synergy. Gordon is talking now about where we are moving, so I should listen whole heartedly..... More later. The organizational ability of Eads is superhuman. Thank you, ! And thanks to Judy, Deb, and the others for all the rest. Gordon, I wasn't sure of the protocol...Is it appropriate to shout out " Amen! " during your presentations? Joanne Holland, I enjoyed your insights on our airport drive. Sorry I didn't find you again after scrambling for fuel. Travel was awful. At least I didn't spend another night in Dallas on the way home, but it was 6:30am before I got there. I think I'm voting for regional meetings we can drive to in the future.
