Guest guest
Anybody have any strategy to overcome this? CHA and Aetna both include UAs in the global fee for an OV. I’ve appealed to no avail. They won’t budge. The only thing I can think to do is passive-aggressively send every UA out to the lab and let them pay whatever outrageous fee the lab gets….or better yet refer all patients for whom a UA is indicated to urology, so the crappy insurer can end up paying not only my OV, but the urologists OV plus the cystoscopy and urethral dilation that everyone who crosses their threshold seems to get…… Oh wait, that would be subjecting the patient to torture to get back at their crappy insurer. Guess I can’t do that…. So what do you guys do? Annie
