I took planquinil several years ago, I remember the doctor telling me at the

time this drug can take up to three months to take effect. During that time I

also had to take predisone/ in WI

RA. A few months ago I probably wouldn't have thought twice about it but

I seem to notice everything right now. Do any of you ever feel like you

toes are about to cramp up? That is how I have been feeling for the last

couple of days. I don't actually have any cramping in my toes or feet,

just the feeling.......if that makes any sense. I have been on Plaquinil

since Tuesday, but I don't notice any improvement, if anything my feet

feel a little worse each day. Is this one of those medications where

first things get worse before they get better?

Lori,

I have RA in my feet also. I am very well controlled on my meds at this

point, but I can sure remember the days when they felt as how you describe

your feet. I used to tell people that it felt like I was barefooted walking

on gravel all the time. Each step was so painful. I found that my balance

wasn't as good because I would step oddly trying to find how to land on my

foot that was the least painful therefore making me unbalanced.

The only time I have problems with my feet now are if I have been on my feet

for a long time or standing in one spot for a long time. I currently am on

Arava 3 times a week and Enbrel twice a week.

Hope this helps

Terri
