Guest guest
WE have had hospitlaists here for a long time as is so rural As more people left inpatietn work, mostly due to distance form hospital, there was less and less ability at staff mtgs to get a quorum as courtesy staff might show but could not vote etc SO last yr a bright surgeon said we need to INCLUDE not exlcude everyone, and they created a new category called active outpaiten staff, which you could simply apply for. Now I can vote. But I do not have to do call and no one has hit me up for committees though fortunately I am on a soft one that does a conference every yr.We had some guy named come this yr... staff priveleges and payor credentialing Today at our medical staff meeting a doc said that you can not get credentialed with most insurances (payors) if you do not have full active staff privileges at one of the plan's participating hospitals. She said courtesy status does not count. Is this true? Does anyone here NOT have staff privileges and yet still take insurances?
