The following events will be held at the Family to Family Network office located at 13150 FM 529, Suite 106, Houston, 77041 (at the corner of FM 529 and N. Eldridge) and are free of charge. April 6th, 7-9 p.m. -- “Person Centered Planning: Never Too Early, Never Too Late” Person Centered Planning is an intentional approach to planning and decision-making that focuses on the individual’s preferences, strengths, needs and priorities in life. What is important to that person? How do we balance that with what’s important for him/her? And how do make those things happen? Learn the principles of Person Centered Planning and the steps you can take to support a person with disabilities to plan for the life that he/she wants to live. Presented by G. Buckner, M.Ed., LPC, Community Education at the Texas Center for Disability Studies. March 31st and April 21st, 10 a.m. – noon Health Sciences librarian, Beatriz Varman, will demonstrate how to easily find reliable health information on the Internet including information on disabilities, medical conditions, medications and treatments, physician credentials and more!
