Guest guest
This is something I have always thought unfair, we have to belong to the AOA, ACOFP and OOA in order to maintain board certification, that is required by most hospitals to be credentialed, which is then required by the insurance companies. There ought to be a law. I take it this board certification being attached to membership is unique only to DO's? See what's free at AOL.com. Guest guest
I would love to be a member of such an organization, I really can't swing any more money for dues though, because as Dave and I said, we have to maintain membership in the ACOFP to maintain our board certification. I don't see them doing too much to help us, it seems more like a good ole boy organization having drinks and golf outings. See what's free at AOL.com. Guest guest
I have to thank the aafp for making my practice possible. By reading about solo practices and Gordan's articles in practice management and by hearing Gordon talk at the AAFP annual meeting I was ready to open my practice when my situation changed suddenly. I didn't know about this list serve until I was already open about 6 months. I think the AAFP educational services are excellent and innovative. While there is always room for improvement I am proud to beeen a member of the AAFP for the last 25 years. Guest guest
Funny, that was the exact thing I was inclined to write! (In my case, the benefit is more than worth the financial “risk”. There are other organizations to which I have dropped membership over the years when I asked myself what I was paying for.) In all seriousness, it is quite a table! (worth the trip to see it!)
