That is awful, Marina. What an ordeal you are going through. Please try to

rest.

Does your rheumatologist know what's going on?

I'll pray that you improve rapidly.

I drove myself to the ER. What a waste of time. The only thing

they did was give my half a liter of fluid IV and do a chest x-ray

to make sure the costal chondritis pain I was having wasn't

pneumonia.

Well, they send me home with an antibiotic I told them I was

allergic to and with a temperature of 103. Yup, it went up and I

felt worse leaving than when I went in. They said to come back if I

get worse!!! I am worse, you dumbass!! I don't know what kind of

sorry hospital they are running there, but I was pissed.

Well, a few hours later, my dad came over and took me to the

hospital where I work. It was too far away for me to drive to

myself. Well, they treated the RA flare with some IV steroids and

treated the pain. Turns out that I have pylonephritis, on both

sides!! They had me admitted and I just got home late last night.

So I was in for about five days.

Still can't keep food down, having trouble taking my meds. My knee

may be infected the same way my kidneys are. They believe that the

vasculitis is what affected my kidneys and the infection could have

routed its way to my right knee. Just what I need.

I had no veins left for them to put IV's in. The medications they

were giving me just ate away at my veins. My right arm is so

swollen from three IV's going bad, one of them turning into

phlebits. I have a half inch wide red streak that runs from my

wrist up to half way up my upper arm.

My eyes are so blurry from the meds they gave me, I can't even be

sure if what I'm typing here makes any sense. Well, I hope everyone

is well. Know that I am thinking of each and every one of you.

Take care, and I will be back soon..........Marina

Thank you, Beth. I'm trying to rest up, but with the holdidays

coming it's so difficult to just sit back and do nothing. I know

that is exactly what I need to do right now, but it doesn't make it

any easier!! LOL>.....Marina

Thank you. . Yes, my rheumatologist knows. That's one of the

reasons they admitted me to the hospital. After talking to him and

my PCP, they didn't give the ER a choice. I follow up with my

rheumatologist on Wednesday. I'm trying to rest, but it isn't easy

for me!! I asked my PCP when I could go back to work and he said

Monday, of next week!! Oh well, I guess a week off won't kill me!!

LOL......Marina

Well, do my 2 cats count? They haven't left my side since I got

home!! They know I'm not well. Thanks for the chicken soup, but

could you just let the chicken step into it for flavor? I'm a

vegetarian!! LOL. Soup is what I need. I haven't been able to eat

anything for over a week. I'm trying, though....Marina

So sorry that I've been gone, once again!! Well, Last weekend I got

real sick. I was having the worse lower abdominal pain and a

temperature of 102 to 103degrees. So, like any other idiot nurse, I

decided to try and wait it out until Monday morning when I would

call to see if I could get in to see him. Fortunatly, I was able to

get into see him. By the time I got to his office, the pain was so

intense in both my bladder and both flank areas near the kidneys.

I's swear if felt like I was having contractions!! Anyway, the week

before I had some blood work done and urinalysis with cultures. he

blood looked normal, the urinalysis looked normal, 2 or 3 days

later, the cultures on the urine started to grow bacteria. Well, I

told my doc that the urinalysis wouldn't be normal at this time.

So, I needed to be on antibiotics but I'm allergic to most of them.

So, into the hospital I went to get treated with IV antibiotics and

benadryl injected before the antibiotic. It does help, a lot. With

out it, it feels like they are infusing fleas directly into my

body!! Well, I'm still having trouble eating. Haven't been able to

keep anything down for a little over a week now. I've been living

off Gatoraide for the last few days. I can get about one to one and

half of those 20 oz. bottles down. It takes me all day, but I

figured that was better than nothing.!!

I really hope this day finds everyone wel. I also want to wish a

happy father's day to all the dad's out there and the dad's to be.

Take care, your sister in RA, Marina

Hello Gloria, glad your home and feeling well enough to chat. I am Beth.

To answer your questions. Look at the upper right hand conner of your page. Click on the light blue options tab, go down to more options and click, at the left hand side of the this is what you are looking for I think. Again glad you are safe and home. Have a blessed day.
